To say that I loved staying here is an understatement. The church has a charm and uniqueness that is hard to find. The owners have thought of everything, and is certainly one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Thank you for having the fire going too - we really appreciated it. We arrived late at night to find the church lovely and warm. Staying here is such an experience. Make sure that you take the time to walk around and notice all of the history that the owners have strategically placed around the accommodation for you to find. The bed in the room closest to the built in coffee machine and kitchen is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.I will certainly be back very soon ❤

We were fortunate to spend 2 wonderful nights here. Everything we could possibly require was supplied. The attention to detail of the conversion has to be seen to be believed. The only improvement I would suggest is a privacy curtain or blinds across the back door as the neighbours can see straight in

One of my best stays in a long time. The place has such good energies that it just felt like home. The place is beautiful and very clean. Everything that was renovated is done so well that the place doesn’t even feel like it’s over 100 years old. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a fun big place to stay at with their families and friends.

Friends were staying there and we visited them for dinner. The space that has been created inside is simply spectacular. For anyone with Catholic faith the experience will have an extra dimension to it as you are able to stand inches from the stained glass windows in the upstairs lounge that would normally be metres above your head.

Amazing refurbished church. Bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotless. The caretakers were so lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will be telling others!

I stayed as one of seven in a boy's weekend away (birthday celebration). Stunning original architecture and refitted throughout for all modern conveniences but retaining wonderful heritage features, and the owner has decorated with an absolute trove of heirlooms, artefacts, artwork and antiques. The main space is incredibly comfortable and welcoming for groups of any size due multiple seating/lighting options, and use of cozy textures and timber/cloth furniture. Just look at the pictures and you'll get a good idea.I thought it would be cold and drafty as a church conversion but it was very snug and with three(!) heating options (we only used the combustion heater) it was very comfortable. Shorts and t-shirts at 2am, literally. There's a massive multipurpose open area with a loft lounge/TV room above. There are three private bedrooms (2x double, 1x twin single) each with their own expansive en suite bathrooms. Although hot water is through a standard electric HWS we had no trouble. There are sleeping options for about five more, and if you provided your own bedding, you could fit dozens in if you want. (not sure how many are allowed)There is a fully-equipped kitchen with 4-burner induction cooktop, (small) oven, combo microwave, all implements, medium fridge/freezer and dishwasher. This should do for cooking for all families and medium-size groups. We stressed it out out were able to cook for seven okay, and if you want more options there is a large barbeque, or the local tavern (reviewed separately, recommended) is literally next door.Props to the automatic coffee machine which I initially scoffed at, but it did a fine job of industrial coffee making, just make sure to keep it clean as it needs regular maintenance. There is a large patio area for outdoor dining, and the well maintained gardens are very pleasant to stroll through or undertake planned outdoor activities/games. There is also a rostrum for presentations or ceremonies able to service a large crowd if needed.Access is a little confusing, google wants you to use the side access, but these are locked shut. Use the gate nearest the tavern and ensure to close to it keep the owners (very friendly) dogs inside.Highly recommended for larger families or group getaways, or as a 'base camp' for activities in the area. I would certainly return again.

While visiting family in Kempton, we choose to stay at A Tassie Church. Lina was great with communication and helped us with our booking. This place exceeded our expectations. The rooms were comfy and each had a quality ensuite. The wood fire and split system kept us toasty warm. There was a large selection of tea, a coffee machine, biscuits, bread, milk and eggs and you could cook up a feast in the kitchen. There was heaps of comfy couches and chairs for all 7 of us to chill out on. Being right next to the pub was super handy too.Overall, a great place to stay that was much better than expected.
