Most of the staff are good with customer service. But this morning, I have encountered someone (who sat on the chair with a name of Quentin) who I guess generally looks down on people who comes into Centrelink. One day, if he becomes a carer to his loved ones who has mental illness or frail age, he too will be a recipient of Centrelink! I was once working for 20 yrs, paid tax!

The office definately deserves a higher star rating. I have visited multiple times over the years, due to the complexity and variability of our circumstances. The staff are always knowledgeable, polite, patient and helpful. In particular, they appropriately ask a colleague, when outside their area of expertise, or take the time to investigate an answer.

Had very bad experience today around 0910-0940hrs . Very poor and rude service in front area. Covid Marshall and the director lady; both very poor and inpatient. Only 2 people wait outside , and they only came 2mins ago~ and this lady staff said I made her waste her time~ And it actually only took 5-10 mins talk to fix my issues. Disappointing!

I went to this establishment with my mother and I had to return a 2nd time as I felt I had made a mistake with what I had said the 1st time I came in on the same day hence why I thought they didn’t process my mothers claim to help with funeral costs.I tried calling the number as instructed to have my questions answered but, the automation kept hanging up so, I went back. As the lady and the team leader was explaining things to us, after the team leader left, I had the other lady who took care of us earlier in the morning the 1st time around came to the lady who was in charge of taking care of us in the afternoon to just say that she already dealt with us and that she told us already etc. It was extremely rude and disrespectful. She didn’t know what our circumstances were and was quite insensitive. It was none of her business and she should’ve just stayed at her desk where she belonged and not to stick her nose in where it didn’t belong. Disgusting fake individual.

Staff behind the desk were lovely, professional, honest, kind, comprehensive and went out of her way to diagnose and fix my problem. Wait time is obviously dependent on number of customers and there are always a lot waiting, but I don't mind when the staff are as helpful as they were.

I think the main function of this office is to provide a dumping ground for old women to bicker amongst themselves about stationary so that they're not in the way of the economy/services that need to be more productive - an effective early retirement without admitting that some are just unable to stay functional until official retirement.What happened? Medicare asked me to drop evidence with a letter they sent to a Services Australia or post it. Since the Services Australia is literally next to the post office I thought it would be easy enough to simply drop the letter where it was going. Services Australia in Oakleigh need you to queue to be triaged before you are assigned to a representative who will decide what needs to be done. I said I am literally dropping a letter off and asked where would post go? They said this has to be triaged before an advisor would advise. There is no post box. Only women over 50 would come up with a system so convoluted like this for when post is being delivered but isn't from Australia Post.I ultimately gave up and paid a $1 to post it next door and resolved my issue on my own. The argument for privatisation has never been stronger.

So disappointed, people come to looking for help, but they are not help , they treat people like virus, just want you stay far from them, no patience at all, even didn’t hear from your , just ask you few questions and find few pages forms and let people get out the place, very rush, the manner they asking people like you are a criminal. So disappointing! First time leave a negative review on google.
