I come here often. The range of sushi on the train is great, and the sushi tastes super fresh! Just a tip for the front of house staff, unless someone orders a drink there’s no table service, so there’s no need to intensely stare at your patron’s tables all the time… it gets pretty uncomfortable.

Very small sushi pieces especially for takeaway - when you go in to order you expect that what you receive for takeaway would be the same as the average to small sized portions on the train however they are even smaller! They quality isn't there, the avocado is the tiniest of slithers and the rice usually falls apart. You are rushed from ordering on a tablet to pay at the desk and then hurried on out before you can even check your order is correct - they use smaller plastic containers than most sushi places to give the impression of larger sushi pieces. At $4.60 a roll I did not expect it to be the same size as my car keys! (I ate half of one roll in the image, there are 2 rolls there)

Arrived 1/2 hour before their listed closing time to place takeaway order for our family. Staff turned off lights and were locking door as walked up to shop. They said when it was a quiet night and there were no customers they shut the kitchen and restaurant early. Not okay. There was a customer right there who wanted to place a sizable order and you turned us away even though we were there during your listed and signed trading hours. Used to frequent this restaurant when it opened and was initially impressed but sadly this is not the first issue. The customer service and employees attitude are a real disappointment. From staff standing directly outside the door smoking (well within the required distance from entry), a staff member ignoring patrons to flirt with her boyfriend/ customer at a table, and now this tonight - were done. Fully support local businesses in this competitive market who strive to respect and look after their customers - and that' not what get here. In a local area word gets out about poor service. The little sushi restaurant Oya in Commercial drive runs rings around Hyo - great service and food. Do yourself a favour and support a business that cares about it's patrons and takes pride in it's operating standards.

2 hours before closing and there’s barely anything on the train. When I call the staff to my table nobody comes and they don’t provide proper receipts either. Step up your service. Food was tasteless as well.

Highly recommend most of the flame torched sushis which can be ordered via the tablet. Great smoking aroma with great combination of sauce & cheese.Price however was not cheap at $4.6/dish at the time.As a rule, I never order anything other than sushi at a sushi train restaurant so I can't comment on other dishes like ramen, udon etc.

I’ve been there several times, and the sushi has always been fresh. During peak hours can be a little hard to get served, but the online tablet system helps facilitate the ordering process.Today the internet server was down and was no hard copy of the menu available for the customers, so we ate what was available at the restaurant. As we were walking out, we noticed a banner with their menu standing by the window facing out and no one advised us for ordering.So, I will be giving four stars as I think customer service could use some improvements.

Edit - The reviews are now full of Karen's. It's not the fault of an establishment if you can't read or expect a business to throw out tons of food a night just in case you come in just before close and expect it all on display. You can order anything and they will make it for you. Pull your head out.Support a good local sushi place, what we had before this was so much worse.If you think you can do better, do it. I'd love to see your attempt.Old reviews -Have been 3 times since open. Sushi is always great and super fresh if you order off the tablets.Editing after going a few more times. The staff are so friendly, I've never had the staff at a restaurant joke with us. Such a refreshing experience. Support your local :)Ignore the 1 stare review and treat yourself.Have tried all the sushi places in Springfield and surrounds and this is by far and away the best. Will become a weekly treat.

Nice restaurant. Been there about 6 times. Portions keep getting smaller & more expensive. We're not coming here anymore. Plenty of other restaurants to try, not worth continued visits.
