Terrible would not recommend this company to anyone had and engineer look at the job they did on our home and he threw the book at it now we have to get another roofing company to rebuild our roof properly .ie broken trusses weren't replaced batterns are spaced at all different measurements the list is endless nothing was done to an Australian Standard

A big shout out to Haley and the team who helped me out no end with great old fashioned service. I needed a roof replaced asap on my man cave (shed)and ended up going with another company but the team at Hats for Houses made sure my quote was fair and reasonable. Hats FOR Houses have just completed a double bulldoze roof and cuverd Ripple iron awnings on my Queenslander cottage at Gympie. The result is stunning Hats for Houses service and Quality are second to none. Congratulations to Alll the team job well done.

The patio roof was replaced under an insurance claim from the previous owners of the home. The roof was literally finished just prior to the house handover. With moderately heavy rain, the roof leaks terribly from the middle joins and where the gutters meet the home. Upon observation, the roof has NO flashing on 2 of the 4 sides that meet the house. It took numerous phone calls and emails for them to attend the house and observe what was wrong (approximately 4 -5 weeks to attend). The workers passed the buck by telling me, they only replaced what was damaged from the hail and nothing more. I'm quite sure 'flashing' is standard when erecting a patio roof, regardless of what is replaced. Both them and I were polite and respectful during the visit and they informed me that they would get back to me with what work was needed to be carried out (I even agreed I'd pay some of the costs associated). Excuse after excuse when I emailed them to receive a work order/quote. Now the company has stopped responding to my emails and ignoring me. It seems as though once the job is done, so is their after service (NIL). I am totally disgusted in their approach to their service (if you can call it that). The insurance claim was made under Suncorp, and I have since contacted them in relation to their 'life-time' warranty on ALL of their services conducted through claims. Suncorp informed me they would be definitely following this up and take all of these matters, VERY seriously, as they stated it was their reputation on the line as well. On a last note, the staff were NEVER rude towards me, but their approach to 'follow-up' service has much to be desired. I hope things change in the future.

Hats for Houses completed a new roof for my Toowoomba property. The process from quoting to completion was very smooth and I was very happy to quickly have a new roof completed in time for the storm season after dealing with other companies that had very long wait times/didn't communicate or completely gave me the run around. Hats for Houses kept me well updated throughout each stage of the job.

Do not bother with these people. Absolutely disgusted.Made a booking and asked to be called an hour before the appointment. The reception dutifully did so but after 2 hours nobody showed up. Called them back and apparently they were in the area. Waited 20 minutes and then another call to say they were 100km away! Lie after lie, being held up, may have gone for lunch, they are 5 minutes away. Then finally they mixed up our job.I have a 2 year old and as anyone who has a young child knows they need routine and sleep and eat like clockwork. We held off due to being told they would be here in 5 minutes.Unprofessional, lie after lie. Wouldn’t touch with a barge pole.

Just over one year ago, Hats for Houses completed a large roof replacement at our home in Ascot, Brisbane. The old flat metal roof was completely removed, new battens were installed, the entire anti condensation blanket was replaced and the flashing was repaired in some areas and replaced in others.We also engaged, and paid for, an independent and accredited building consultant engineer to investigate quality and workmanship at various stages of the project. This consultant also conducted a detailed inspection on completion. There were no issues with the workmanship of Hats for Houses. We used a Lysaght Bluescope Steel metal product for the roof replacement. Lysaght gave us the details of a commercial roofing company that installs a lot of Lysaght metal roofing on large projects in the commercial market in Queensland. One of their roofers also came to site and inspected the completed roof. There were no issues with the quality or workmanship of Hats for Houses.After these inspections, Hats for Houses completely cleaned the roof, the gutters and the site from roofing debris.Jason and the crew did a great job on this project. They also provided practical advice about how to better support the roof. We continued to reside in the home during the work and Hats for Houses managed to work around us extremely well.We weren’t looking forward to this project but Hats for Houses stayed on schedule and it was over quickly. The crew was respectful to neighbours and treated our property well.We have been through two Brisbane storm seasons since the roof was replaced. There are no leaks whatsoever, even during the heaviest and most severe storms.I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hats for Houses for roof work. They did an awesome job from planning and estimating right through to implementation and completion.J. Sandro
