Excellent service & amenities. Staff were really friendly and the room was very clean, common area was an extra touch, made an awesome use of space. Building is beautifully maintained, highly recommended.

I stayed here in mid March for a business trip. Whilst the rooms have had a lot of money spent on them to modernise them I didn't feel they were worth the money. $295 for a hotel room is well over what I would normally pay for a hotel room. I often get a one bedroom apartment for less than this. There is no onsite parking. There is only shared tea/coffee making facilities outside of the rooms and the hot water is via a heated tap. Great idea but I found the water to have a funny taste. If I had a kettle in my room I could have used bottled water to make my coffee. There is also no microwave in the room or the shared kitchen or any plates/cutlery in the rooms. I would normally make my own cooked breakfast (oats or scrambled eggs). Unless you are happy sitting on the bed, there was limited seating in the room. A small stool with a small work area and a single seat. Wouldn't be great if there was a couple staying there. It seems that the lack of facilities is designed to get you to use the attached bar and restaurant. I didn't use the bar, the restaurant seems very pricey. The room I had was not a great layout, the TV was on the side of the bed and although it was on a bracket that could swing out, there was not a lot of room to move it. The reception seemed very poor too, it would drop out every 15-20 mins requiring me to reset the tv to keep watching a show.Overall the rooms and modern and clean but I don't feel the value for money is that great.

We were very impressed with the decor, facilities & ambience of this beautifully renovated 19th century hotel. It is highly techo in the way many services are provided. The staff we met were a delight & went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The Temperance Bar is brilliant as is the Dome coffee shop. Highly recommended at every level

This is a heritage building that has been beautifully restored and upgraded with a lot of care. All of the features and amenities are of very high quality including the beds, linen and Aesop provisions in the bathroom. An outstanding place to relax and explore the countryside. The Temperance Bar is a must for an early evening drink and even share plates which were very good. You will find the staff very welcoming and open. We will definitely be going back.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, well appointed room with a comfortable and clean bed. I loved the location as it is close to restaurants, fast food joints and the local Spudshed. Shoutout to Shane, who checked us in - who gave great recommendations for local dining options when we asked suggestions.

If you're looking for an opulent yet grounded place to stay, this is it!Was lucky enough to stay on a Saturday night and was very impressed with the facilities, amenities and friendliness of the staff. This was despite the kitchen being closed due to COVID related illnesses. A stay here represents great value for money, though be aware, no two rooms are the same and it's worth checking the size of you room at time of booking.

Room was lovely, although the parlour room we were allocated resembled the cottage room and was very small. The service was beyond bad. We were there for my partner’s birthday, and I had contacted them in advance to determine whether we needed to book for meals- I was told we didn’t. Once there we discovered that they stopped serving food at 8pm, and they ran out of mains by 7.15. We ended up with a small selection of nibbles. The following morning we were told it was over an hour wait for breakfast. We decided just to get coffee and go to Northam. The coffee was undrinkable. I sent 2 emails explaining that it was not acceptable to book a reasonably expensive hotel and not be informed that they could not cater for guests. They couldn’t even be bothered responding. Not worth the money.

Loved our visit, and what a shout out to Shane who welcomed us to the hotel with a hand shake and a tour around the hotel' Informative and professional with his response to any questions put to him and nothing was too much trouble extremely helpful. The rooms were small but clean tidy and modern with access to Tye balcony and coffee facilities. Loved the cocktail bar, and the vibe of the hotel had a Victorian feel about it.I was a little put off when told that the hotel adjoined a Dome as I am not a fan, but because it was connected to the hotel building it had the same vibe and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recomened thos hotel and also, it would be the first place I would stop again when visiting the Avon Valley and Northam.
