I experienced a horrible incident at Woolworths Glenwood store last week. After visiting the medical centre next to Woolworths, I decided to check out if over-the-counter medicines suggested by the doctor were available at Woolworths, though I was not going to buy them immediately. At one point while I was walking in the store and I was closer to the checkouts side of the store, I found a staff woman looking right at me. At that point, I was putting my mask in my handbag. The mask was required for wearing in the medical centre. I found it unusual because generally the staff are quite busy and going about performing their duties. You rarely find them just standing around. Anyway, I did not think too much about it at that time.I did not buy the medicines that day and was walking out of the store. To my surprise, when I was walking out, the same woman came up to me and said that she wanted to check my handbag. I was stunned. It was not the usual kind of bag checking. I had no shopping bags with me, only my handbag. The woman checked my bag. Of course, she did not find anything. Only my mask !In hindsight, I connected the dots. The woman was spying on me. She was tracking me as I was walking in the store. She decided to assume that I had put something from the store in my handbag. She got all charged up. It seems that she was ready for a James Bond kind of thriller. I became her focus. Then when I was walking out of the store, she descended upon me to ‘nab’ me. I got the impression that she was disappointed that she could not find anything. The woman must be either a dumbhead or too bored. Dumbhead, because standing around, she should have seen that I am putting my mask in my purse. Moreover, stealers are not going to put something in their bag while being close to checkouts. They would rather do this in some more obscure spot. Bored, because the woman seemed to be seeking thrill, perhaps her only excitement. The woman did not have her employer in mind when she was seeking the thrill. After this incident, I will never visit that store again. I had been a regular customer at that store for the last one year. However, I have now switched to Coles at Stanhope Gardens. The store has lost me permanently. Why meet out this treatment to a regular customer ? Just for being a customer ? If I have to lose my dignity for visiting your store, I would rather not be your customer. What I experienced bordered on harassment. To other customers - if you experience such harassment, then return the goods and go to another store. These days we have choices. But don’t just stop there. Report and highlight the harassment.

Our preferred Woolworths. Never had a problem here other than shortages during covid, but that was everywhere. Nice friendly staff and clean store. Plenty of parking but watch out for the idiots in the car park.

This woolworths is unfortunately fairly out dated. They are a bit dirty and the car park often has people parking there who are visiting other locations such as the function centre or park. The bakery section rarely seems to have much of a selection and never seems that fresh. It's a shame because I would love a great local woolworths, unfortunately there are better ones nearby. Not to bad if you've forgotten something and need to quickly pop in to get something for dinner though.

These days the normal checkouts are always closed with barricade and trolleys. They forcing us to use the self checkout. Customer service is now non existent. Self checkout are supposed to be for quick small amount of grocery. When you have fortnight worth of grocery, self checkout is just torture. At least 1 checkout should remain open for god sake.
