Extremely overpriced for average food and even more mediocre service. We were 1 of only two couples in there and our food took over 45 minutes and they completely forgot our drinks.Terrible service and experience.

Friendly service and good food with a lot of options. We had the fried chicken burger and the vegetarian breakfast plate. Vegie plate was a bit heavy on the oil. Yum burger.

The service was not good at all, all the staff seemed like they did not want to be there and as such we felt really unwanted during the whole dining experience. Did not attend us at all despite not being too busy— did not seat us down, did not take our order, did not smile etc, was one of the most saddest customer service in a while because they all seemed to so depressed and bored working.Food was mediocre, fritters was dry and bland and overall quite a below average experience.We ordered theSweet Potato & Pumpkin Fritters $21.50 - Sweet potato & pumpkin fritters, grilled haloumi served with tomato kasundi, raita, fried cauliflower, kale crisps and a poached eggLemon Pepper Calamari $24.00 -Flash fried calamari, Greek salad, lemon pepper seasoning served with lemon mayo with Beer Battered Chips

A group of us came in for lunch, there were 5 other people seated eating or having coffee, we ordered our meals - 40 mins later we received them - I ordered the chicken sandwich with NO cheese - I received cheese, I returned my meal, the waitress acknowledged she forgot about the cheese, I exchanged for sweet potato fries as we didn’t have time to wait, they came out slightly burnt….The other meals were also average / not of a high standard!The service also average, the girls seemed to stand around on their phones a lot.The coffee on the other hand was great..They did acknowledge their mistake & gave me everything ‘on the house’ even though I was happy to pay for my coffee which was I thought was nice!The cafe is in a good area with easy access to parking.I ‘may’ give them a second chance.

Bensons Mount Waverley Cafe & Wine Bar
A great cafe restaurant all year round with ample seating inside and outside. Great options on the menu and I have eaten here for lunch with Business clients and team meetings. The staff are amazing and friendly and always smiling. The coffee and cakes are very tempting and being licensed is an advantage for that end of the day quiet red wine or bubbles. Give Bensons a try - you won’t be disappointed.

Great tasting coffee. Had to pay a 10% surcharge for the Kings Birthday Holiday, which is fair enough, as long as the employees are paid extra on the public holiday. Are they?
