Nanango Star Motel

Booked and Paid for a night. Arrived and removalists and operator Andrew Beck was there. Andrew said he would refund the money. Still waiting for refund. Understandingly business is tough in these times and business relationships can sour.

Andrew our host was awesome, very accommodating to our special needs as touring cyclists traveling with a small dog. Our room was very clean and comfortable. And the special personal touches like the little bowl of lollies was very welcome.Close to town, we walked to IGA and the takeaway food store.

Black mould throughout the room, unhealthy and unacceptable. I can't believe how many reviewers said their rooms were clean, maybe they didn't look up or the mould is just in room 5. This is the most unhygienic motel I've ever stayed in. There's other negative things I could mention too but I won't.

Absolutely awesome motel. Rooms are very clean. Lovely gentleman in reception was very welcoming. I highly recommend this motel.

For a small town hotel they've delivered fantastically, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are well appointed and stocked with the simple items you need. The room was so clean as well something that can't be said about other places I've stayed. The Manager was so friendly and welcoming as well as the welcoming committee. Will I return? For the price, location and everything else listed I most certainly will.

Great location close to the main road through town. Now that the positive comment is over let's mention some not so good points.Arrived after dark and tired which may have clouded our decision to stay!After only a few hours sleep, we were awoken by the neighbouring flock of cockatoos. The Manchester was threadbare it felt and looked like it had been washed every day for a few years, the curtains strained to close, not a great place to wake up! so we decided to shower and go.The ensuite must have been nice at some point but it was suffering badly from wear and tare, multiple guests showering have really taken its toll with paint peeling on the roof, quite artistic but not that hygienic.A couple of charging points for cars not phones were available but I can't imagine anyone who can afford a Tesla choosing here to stay to be honest.I can't imagine ever being that desperate that I'd want to stay there again!

Personally wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. Upon arrival I felt very uncomfortable in the presence of the manager. His commentary and demeanour were at times not necessary and made me feel uncomfortable. Upon first inspection of the room it looked reasonably neat and tidy. Bathroom was clean however at bedtime I found a small clump of hair close to my pillow and a few long strands towards the bottom of the mattress. I had only just pulled the covers back so it certainly wasn’t my hair. There were crumbs under the cover (I hadn’t had any food) plus there were stains in the sheet which were not a good look. I tried to keep busy during my very short stay so as to not need to be in my room too long as God knows what else I’d find. I’ve never had an experience like this and hope to never have one again.

Very disappointed, booked a room for a queen bed and single. Ended with a Queen bed room only. When I walked in to check in the Manager joked and wanted to know when I booked. Only to find out when I walked out to the car to get the information he joked with my son....and my son let him know what for as he has had a very distressing week after have a nasty vehicle accident and still he did not let up. Would not recommend staying here.

Great place in a very convenient location. Our room was very clean and hygienic. Even though we checked in late, reception staff member was friendly and welcoming. We were just in for a quick over night sleep on our way down south. I would definitely stay here again.

It not a resort so let's rate it for what is is.For a small country motel Andrew does a pretty good job. He's friendly the little pup is cute as and his places is pet friendly. The room was clean, the shower was hot and it was surprisingly quiet given its so close to the main highway. Great little place to stay.
