Got a quote from Durbin Appliance Services (Durbin Oven Repairs), Troy came to my premises and we paid the $91 (call out fee). Upon looking at the washing machine, he concluded that bands holding the washing machine was loose and needs replacement. My spouse questioned him to open up the washing machine to ensure that it is only the bands that needed to be changed and he reluctantly open the machine and concluded the bands needed to be replaced.Told us that we will need to pay $77 (half deposit for the bands - $154) so that he can get the parts. Upon payment, he came the following day and when the bands were installed, the washing machine was still not working. Told us that it is probably now the rods that needs replacement. After much discussion, he told my spouse that he will get the rod and fix the machine without additional payment. Till now he has given excuses of not getting the rod and cost is too high.Final text to me was Hi have priced up new suspension rods unfortunately the costs is to great to do the job for nothing I suggest you buy a new washing machine sorry Troy"We are now left without a working washing machine and a out cost of already $168. Cost to great to do the job for nothing? For a person to say that he was an ex f&p service tech and is still unable to figure out what is wrong with the washing machine is not good enough. The call out fee of $91 is to "pay" for your expertise

Excellent service from Troy, promptly replied to messages for assistance. Despite the initial repair being unsuccessful, Troy happily returned for no additional charge to get to the bottom of the issue.The problem was a particularly tricky one but he persisted and the outcome was excellent.
