Mount Donna Buang observation tower
Visited on a overcast summer afternoon. Nice view from the top of the observation tower (126 steps - yes I counted!). The place has bbq facilities and picnic benches and toilets.

Absolutely beautiful. Friday was the perfect day to go. Not many people. I thought the last week of August was late in the season but lucky there was great snowfall 2 days prior. Highly recommended you follow their Facebook page to ensure there is snow before you go as it is a bit of a drive.

Kids and elderly friendly. Toilets and car parking available. BBQ area on the top. No need for a 4wd. Don’t forget to visit Warburton on your way back. Scenic even on summer season.

Mount Donna Buang observation tower
You can visit this observation tower, free of charge. Parking is available for 15-20 cars, nearby. From the tower, you can see the whole land near and far, the scenery is amazing. Toilets nearby as well, as a bbq place too. You may visit the sky slopes which are a couple of meters far only. Trails to the forest start from here. Road to the top is exciting

Lovely snow day! Early in the year, gates were open- I guess it was not expected. We had a fantastic time. We head up every chance we get on snow days

Everytime I come here it is stunning, the view Is spectacular. If you are up to it climb to The top of the stairwell it is well worth it, take a jacket it gets quite fresh . The road up is normally a slow drive because of thepeople who don't normally drive on bendy narrow roads.

Mount Donna Buang observation tower
After we had a lunch, we drove there along the mountain road. We can get so many stunning views of the rainforest on the way. The tower is a little bit high for me. However, I overcame the fears and climbed up to the top. When I stood there, there was a feeling that I was on the top of the mountain, and I found the endless and undulating mountains in the distance! How spectacular! I can’t help but think, in the face of nature, we are just as little as dust. We should live at the moment!

If you are going for the observation tower then make sure its on a clear day for you to have a great view otherwise it might be pointless going there.Unless you enjoy the drive because it is quite scenic and peaceful feel.Great hiking trails with varying difficulty.You can come with your mountain bike and try and ride all the way to the summit.Toilets available and bbq facility with several benches in the open.Can be a great site for a picnic.
