Excellent experience! Joe is very welcoming and made me feel comfortable, he explained the settings/functions of the cameras in an easy to understand way. He is very knowledgeable on different cameras and showed me many features of my camera that I never knew existed...thanks for making things easier Joe!Lots of work to do now but keen to practice my new skills! Highly recommended, will definitely be back :)

Great course with lots of interactive teaching by Joe.Joe is a great teacher who has a detailed knowledge on a wide variety of cameras and is an expert in instructing his students on the best way to get the right shot with a technical and artistic composition.Have done a few lessons in the past with Joe and will do more as there is still so much to learn.

I did a portrait shoot with Joe starring his beautiful wife Marée. What a fantastic model she is and it was such a joy to photograph her she is so relaxed and vivacious. Brilliant lesson. Came to class knowing very little about my camera, and left feeling confident about using it. Excellent explanation of the basics (which I needed), in a way that's easy to understand and remember. Also some great tips on taking good photos no matter the level of experience. Joe is so knowledgeable about photography and how to use your own camera. I have been learning from him for over 10 years. I recently attended his Vivid lesson and I learned a lot about using shutter priority to get the best of the Vivid lights, from clear photos to more creative shots. I had a lot of fun too!

Great Teacher, He gets to your level and explains it so well, he doesnt use big camera jargons and then follows up with pratical photó shoot. He is also a great critic which adds so much to your knowledge. Plus he is so humurous and some one who is open for any type of a question no matter how much silly it seems to you. very good person as well. just a few classes and i am already so confident and am amazed at photos i take...wish i had known him before... Truly enjoyed FotoJoe's photography classes at SmarterDigital Photography Lessons. He's passionate, knowledgeable, made the learning experience so enjoyable and has plenty of one on one time with his small intimate groups. I'll be back for more courses in the future!
