Dr Fix It

I recently moved from a large house into a ground floor apartment which presented a number of challenges in maintenance, shed building, Ikea assembly, clothesline hanging and multiple art works to be hung - and a myriad of other things! Chani , The Fixologist was extraordinary in his care and attention to detail. He was immaculate about every different job presented to him. Nothing was ever a problem and everything was done with utmost precision and attention to detail. He is a perfectionist and this was a delight to a fellow perfectionist. I cannot recommend him highly enough - I just wish we could clone him and he could become my electrician, painter, plumber,carpenter, builder and I expect even my Chef!Di DrewHead of ScreenNational Institute of Dramatic Art

Got them round to quote on some handyman work which would probably take 2-3 hours. Quoted $750. I said I didn’t think it was that difficult and that I would prefer paying by the hour which he didn’t want to do. Then dropped it quickly to $450 which I said no to. Asked me what I wanted to pay. So I felt as if they were quoting what they thought a client would pay. He then said he’s very good and could do it in an hour. $750/hr for a handyman was more than I could justify

I contracted the Fixologist to repair damage to an exterior wall. I was quoted what I thought was a fairly expensive amount but was prepared to pay as he had been recommended and I wanted to make sure it was a quality job. Unfortunately, within a couple of weeks the repair was degrading and now three months after the repair the attached photos show how bad it is two weeks ago and today The wall looks worse now than it did before the repair. I looks like they used glue rather than cement. I contacted the Fixologist and sent photographs, but was told that they quoted and did the job and it must be that the wall is moving. You can also see from the pictures the outline of the repair, which was indeed not good. I am very disappointed with the quality of the workmanship and the response to my email regarding the degradation of the repair. I definitely would not recommend their services.
