Caboolture Building Approvals

This company is a scam. I approached them for a retrospective approval. They made me sign a contract, asked for the money up front, then asked for council docs that I had to pay for myself. I sent 3 emails in one day and never got a response back from them. I cancelled my credit card to stop them from charging me because they hadn't even done that. Worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

Worst private certifier I have ever dealt with! Rude, abrupt, arrogant and shonky. Have been speaking with the council today and the representative advised us that this about the 200th case whereby Caboolture Building Approvals have left someone in the lurch. This has resulted in an additional spend by us to rectify their shonky practices. Fortunately for us, these guys botched their own scam and failed to notify the council that the time had lapsed to have them certify our shed meaning that the council can complete and we don't need to spend any more with these rip-offs!We did not choose this company to begin with, Titan Sheds did.There are plenty of other certifiers out there - I'd recommend chancing my arm with someone else other than this organization!25/07/19 -Further to their Google Reviews response, you cannot defend the indefensible. Titan Sheds advised that they no longer use this Certifier (for obvious reasons) and the Moreton Shire Council representative mirrored those same concerns. Of course the Council will refute the claims made - they stand to face litigation should it be proven those words were spoken... If Caboolture Building Approvals really did care about their Google Reviews they would offer a service which was worthy of a positive review. They refer me to a document published by the council, which I would expect them have the absolute clearest understanding of what is contained in the legislation - that is how they hoodwink the home owner.Caboolture Building Approvals is definitely a business that honest, hard working Australians need to avoid.

They overcharge for services that other certifiers would include in their fees, never answer the phone, only call back. Over complicate approvals and ask for information that you will never be able to get. Ask for payment before you get any help and then put a clause in the paperwork that no matter what happens ( even if no services rendered) they keep all monies paid. If you want a job done ,want value for money and help getting your approvals taken care of ,stay the hell away from this mob. Only cost me $2800 with nothing approved and communication. Don't make my loss of money in vein. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Wish I had read the reviews before engaging the work of this company. Three years ago reviews were saying their communication is poor and they are hard to get a hold of- my experience was the same. Impossible to get a hold of anyone in the office and they conveniently don’t have a listed office location so can ignore calls for weeks and there is literally nothing you can do to contact them. Very disappointing experience would not recommend. And Caboolture Building Approvals please don’t bother responding with the same lines you gave the other person three years ago as it’s clear nothing has changed with your business practices.

We have been dealing with Caboolture Building Approvals for some time and find this company fantastic! They are attentive to our enquiries and always provide their service in a professional and efficient manner. We love their friendly staff who are polite to speak to and very knowledgeable. If you are chasing a company to get a building approval we would strongly recommend Caboolture Building Approvals!

I am absolutely appalled by their service. My client engaged them to do building approvals and got a fixed quote yo do the work for $1,100. One week in they asked for another $1,200. They never respond to emails and the receptionist talks over you. Lachlan the office manager has shown no effort to resolve the issue. I am amazed that they are still in business. Even the Council commented that they were dishonest. You should be ashamed. There is such a thing as service and communication. We have given them 6 weeks to sort this out.

Amateurish at best. If they read the documents instead of being disorganised and ill prepared all would probably have been OK. Then to blame my wife for “misguiding” them. Can’t wait for the reply to this post. More deflecting and blaming. Oh and for the certifier to just say don’t do anything despite council doc’s indicating work needed to be done. Really? Guess where my next letter is going?
