Tom and his team at Southern Star Landscapes is a tour de force. Together, they worked meticulously and industriously, reimagining our outdoor space which was uninviting, unpleasant and frankly, a huge residual mess from our house extension earlier this year. Tom’s team transformed our outdoor space by updating and paving over our pebble crete pool and turfing our backyard which included building a retaining wall and leveling the ground to install high quality synthetic grass.During their time with us, the team impressed us with their attention to detail and their deliberation in all tasks to ensure all elements of the space were functional and harmoniously constructed. Tom used his extensive knowledge and experience to advise on design and practical solutions that were future-focused, budget friendly and aesthetically pleasing. In particular, Tom advised us on solutions surrounding drainage and maintenance of the area. Tom was always responsive, ensuring his explanations were clear and detailed and no questions were too difficult or silly; any queries or concerns we had were handled professionally and aptly. Equally, his onsite designer, Matt is a perfectionist. Matt’s dedication to the project was immeasurable; he cared for our house like it was his own and his suggestions were always holistic and sympathetic to the context of the space. Matt was always friendly and professional and willing to help beyond what was expected.On completion of the job, the team cleaned up thoroughly and even assisted with odd jobs around the yard to ensure a sense of integration of the old and new works.We are deeply grateful for their outstanding work; our new space is beautiful and our quality of life has improved significantly. We have recommended Southern Star Landscapes to many of our family and friends, and will continue to do so.
