Mercure Centro Port Macquarie

Clean, well run, tidy, great staff but perhaps a little over priced for the age and state of the building. We have stayed there for a few years running now and it has never let us down as the location is central to everything we needed! Just needs a face life or a price reduction, paying for the name more than the accomodation!

Loved this place. Stayed for only a night as a stop over, centrally located in Port Macquarie. Could easily stay longer. Great rooms, quiet, great amenities. Shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Secure parking. Great parking. Would recommend.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, the road noise comes into the room a little bit too much for my liking. Joe at the front desk was amazing and really made our stay special.

Clean, hospitable staff, good location close enough to the heart but not in it. Walking distance to most things. Underground parking on site. An IGA and shopping centre adjoining for all things you may require during your stay. Restaurant on ground level we didn't get the opportunity to eat there but grabbed some okay coffees takeaway. Room adequate, wait time on elevator okay, would recommend.

I would rate the Mercure Port Macquarie a little over 4 stars but not a five. It is a nice hotel and all of the staff have been friendly. The room cleanliness when we checked in was not 100% with a few things on the floor and quite thick dust on the top of the headboard. Good sized room with Queen bed plus a sofa bed.The room facilities are reasonable with kettle and coffee bags with fresh milk. Wine glasses and a bar fridge so you can stock your own supplies.Great location, very central to everything!We’ve stayed here before and would definitely stay again!

The rooms are clean. The rooms are equipped and decorated poorly for a hotel at this price point….you need to bring your own bottle opener! Some of the furnishings in our room are in need of replacement, if this property wants to stay part of the Accor brand. I will probably avoid it on my next stay in Port Macquarie.The location can be very noisy at times with surrounding construction and garden maintenance at adjoining properties meaning little prospect of a late sleep. Be prepared to pay for parking. Overall a disappointment.

I love the stay. Due to the rain, I didn't explore much. It was relaxing just to stay in the hotel. In regards to the restaurant, the food was good but the services was fair.

Great location, nice room with plenty of space for a long weekend and a great breakfast.View over the carpark starts bad, as it's a carpark, but ends with a view up.the river across to the surf beach.

Wedding Event. 1st April 2023.Worth every penny.I can't stress just how much Katherine and Colin put into our wedding. They made every step of the planning process so uncomplicated. By simply liasing with them eradicated so much anxiety and pressure. As the bride I was completely at ease. They are two incredible event organisers. To avoid any angst about weather we married in the waterfall room. It was so beautifully decorated by the event team along with the reception upstairs. The support team were so lovely. The service staff were so kind. The chef's provided us and our guests with beautiful quality food. The rooms were clean and lovely.As a bride and groom, we felt so relaxed knowing Katherine and Colin were on the point with every detail. They are truly faultless and genuinely have your event success high as priority. They even arranged for a morning after breakfast for some of us which was also fantastic! We can honestly not fault them. Our wedding was so happy, and magical and we cannot recommend Katherine, Colin and their support crew enough. If you have a budget they will do their best to work with you.The only small let down had no bearing on Katherine, Colin or their support staff. We received many guest complaints about the rates they were quoted. The worse was over $800 a night! Not only did they not receive the 10% discount when mentioning they were a wedding guest, the rates quoted were so much higher than online booking sites. We were advised they had to contact the reception direct. We had no choice to recommend an inexpensive, clean and tidy motel located a short walk away. Guests won and saved, Mecure lost many room bookings over it. However this had nothing associated with Katherine and Colin's incredible event coordination professionalism.

As Accor Members we chose to stay at Mercure Port Macquarie for the Accor benefits and we are glad we did. Very lovely stay. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. We didn't use the restaursnt onsite but it would of been handy if we were staying longer then 1 night. We had a king spa balcony room which was very spacious and a great room. The spa was a great inclusion. Hotel was in a great location and close to shops; bars and restaurants and walking distance to the water. We will definetly be back.
