My favourite of the pet superstore chains. The reward dollars on certain brands are generous and you can cash the next purchase. No waiting two years for a $5 discount. Update: I'm knocking a star off the review for the online system; rewards points don't work properly and about 20-30% of online click and collect orders don't send the ready email. In store experience is still very good.

Learning so much about fish. I started with 1 now 2. This weekend I'm going in to get a much bigger tank and more fish. It's so mesmerising watching them swim. And the staff are friendly and very helpful. Plus I love chatting and playing with your bird. Thank you for winning my heart with fish.

What a week of absolute abysmal “customer service” at the Townsville store. We recently welcomed a new four legged family member and wanted to feed them the best canned food we could and that was Ziwi Peak.I understand that stock is currently limited in certain flavours and sizes, and their shelves were bare even though the website stated that items were in stock. I ask in store if there was any more stock to which I was advised this wasn’t the case. I purchased limited flavours and had the items price matched with Pet N Vet Direct.Place an order for two other items on the website and use the online chat tool to speak to a member of staff regarding the discrepancy of stock showing on the website and it not being in store, they call the store on my behalf and confirm that they don’t have stock. Call in on Monday to collect the online order (barf) after getting the ready to collect email, to be told that they only actually had one item. They had my details and couldn’t be bothered to actually tell me this? Whilst in store I figure I will walk past the Ziwi Peak and to my surprise and annoyance they have stock of most flavours. This after being told twice that they didn’t have any of the stock. I rase this with the employee and I may as well have spoken to myself as I got nothing in reply as to why that same employee told me they didn’t have stock and I even pointed out that I’m sure they didn’t just get a delivery over the weekend…I went to purchase more of the Ziwi Peak items and the very curt employee (different to the first one) was very dismissive after requesting a price match with the same online retailer that I had previously to be told that shipping will be applied to that price. I questioned why only two days ago it wasn’t applied yet today it was and wasn’t when I price matched with the online order. They snapped back that an email was sent out. I requested to speak to the manager to be told that they weren’t there and there wasn’t anyone else I could address this with. So after their lack of customer service and inconsistency I received a refund on the items purchased and left the $150+ of stock I was purchasing and walked out the door and ordered $300 worth of stock with Pet Food Leaders which was shipped for free less than two hours later and will now only purchase all my other required items from their competitor Petbarn just down the road who are friendly and consistent with their customer service!
