The Gantry
A very nice place to spend the day with a group of friends. Kid friendly, lots of room to run around and the facilities are pretty good.When we were there the grass was a bit long and the old wood fired BBQ’s had been replaced by gas ones. Also quite a few noisy dirt bikes that detract from the experience.If you’ve never been here, it’s worth the trip. The scenery on the way in is amazing, and the shed is very impressive. It would probably be a five star rating on a weekday.

Good bush walks and was quite pretty in places. Some cool remains of an old saw mill to check out. If you like a good bush walk experience, not a bad place. One walk takes 4 hours for keen walkers.

If you're after a couple of clean, undercover BBQs, decent toilets and an old gantry (crane thing) near some beautiful walks, this is a nice place for you. A beautiful drive to get there too.Don't expect lots of undercover dining, or any basketball courts, playgrounds or off-leash dog areas though.Excellent hikes from here (especially Mount Byron via Somerset Trail).

Lots of parking space and BBQ's were clean. Grass was mowed and area was tidy. If you have a 4WD check out the Rocky Hole swimming area.

Nice place to take family n friends. For either a picnic or bush walk .Nice swimming hole when the weather is great.

Nice place for kids, family and picnic.Place has couple of barbecues( both electrical and wood fire) and toilet facilities. Please carry your own water as water there is not suitable for drinking. Good space for parking for ~20 cars. There are also trails to walk to rainforest and lookout point(13km). Overall nice place to chill in nature.The journey from Brisbane to this place have very scenic views on the way.

Great place for a walk and picnic. However signage could be a lot better regarding direction of trails and distance walked. The Somerset trail does not have these things listed on any signage so unless you have someone who has done the trail before it is easy to get confused. Also it helps if you know what each trail number means - ie a 1 trail is even ground with next to no gradient, where a 4 is steep and uneven and so on.

Beautiful and interesting place. Lots of picnic tables and 2 x bbqs. Toilets weren't too bad, no bins though.

Nice park/picnic/BBQ area. Parking a bit tight but nice area. Some half decent 4wd tracks in the area to explore, can keep you going for half a day as a warm up for the nearby glasshouse mountains tracks if you're adventurous.

This is a top little reserve in a quiet and pleasant setting. There is a public toilet block, a few BBQ shelters and multiple picnic tables. It's a great spot for a picnic lunch in between exploring the broader park. The open grassed area would be perfect for family games and for kids to run about in relative safety.
