Calm and serene - mostly :D so pick your times. Join in with the local walking groups, make your own or take the dog for a few laps around the paths, poo bags available on entry. Beautiful area with access all areas for walking, biking, running, wheeling or cartwheeling. Flying fox and gym equipment available to utilise 24/7, grassed area, BBQ's, undercover picnic areas, public amenities, 2 x parking bays, variety of flora and fauna in and around the varying man-made water catchments and an over-water bridge that will perhaps one day rival the Pont des Arts. Check it out. Don't forget the far-pond near the old Aerodrome with it's variety of ducks, geese and sometimes abundance of Muscovy Ducks. Great for the kids, puppers and wonderful for the adults.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat. Can get takeaway if you'd like to sit outside or dine in and take in the lovely view of the wetlands.

Whyalla Wetlands
While not quite what we hoped for, the wetlands look like a great facility for families. It looks well used and loved… tidy with uplifting messages along the way. We had hoped for a natural botanical wetlands experience while this is a project that in part manages storm water with gardens attached. If you want a pleasant picnic spot this could work for you.
