Fraser Park Lookout

Absolutely gorgeous spot to view Rockhampton and surrounds. Well done to the council for their efforts in building a well-loved and often-used spot to visit. The canopy walk is beautiful, and the upgrades to other walking trails will only be a benefit. Perfect spot to view a stunning sunset.

I cannot beleive I have not been up here before. Some wonderful vistas of the city, the river and out to the coast.

Awesome views, worth the drive to the top. Lots of spectacular lookouts to enjoy. Picnic spots, trail walks. Kids play area is fun for adults too, i particulary enjoyed the trampoline on top of a mountain and the slide. Not to mention very clean toilets. Dont forget your bubbles and next time we shall use the bbq!

Brilliantly maintained and suitable for those in wheelchairs. The road up felt safe and well maintained. The is also a large playground nearby tucked away without prominent signage. Unfortunately there was significant cloud cover when we went up however this had its own charm and was a hauntingly beautiful experience!

It was such a surprise to find a modern clean state of the art lookout. The road there was excellent and sealed. The ablusion facilities modern and clean. The walkways were informative, safe and blended with nature. It is a must do if you are visiting Rockhampton in Queensland.

Fantastic views of the national park one side and Rockhampton, the river and the surrounding areas on the other. There are a few walks to do however the Nurim Circuit is well designed and thought out with a wide paths, natural native landscaping and information plaques dotted along the walk. Once you reach the boardwalk section there are benches and seats available to take in the breathtaking views and scenery. There is a well maintained kids playground, clean bathrooms and a cafe also. The one negative was the state of the public barbecues on the day I went it was clear the previous users simply left their eaten food and rubbish for someone else to clean - so if you plan to use the barbecues take a barbecue liner.

The view was supposed to be good but tree have grown and blocking the view of Rockhampton City.There are limited free parking.

Just great views from here !

Great drive up. Wifey was stressed as she doesn't like heights. View was spectacular.Unfortunately they are doing a lot of improvement/construction at the moment. Should make a big difference when completed.

This location is at the highest point of Rockhampton, with a large viewing platform, and the sunset here is very beautiful.
