Had lunch here. Satay chicken was pretty good. Chicken burger was very nice. Chips were not bad. Service was excellent. Prices were reasonable. All in all, we would recommend this pub.

Service was great here. I came with a disability support client and their family for lunch and the staff were exceedingly accommodating in relation to my client's needs. We were never made to feel like an inconvenience despite requiring extra attention. Additionally I am Coelliac and was directed towards safe" dishes that were an option for me and again was not made to feel like an inconvenience which is often the case when seeking out gluten-free food. They really understand the importance of gluten-free for people with Coelliac.Everyone was very polite and positive. Highly recommend."

This was a huge surprise. Some of the best pub food I've ever had. Literally. Everything homemade. We were in town the nights. Two of then we are here. First night I had the risotto with salmon and asparagus followed by sticky date pudding (to die for), and the second night the chicken parma (yes seriously not like any other chicken parma you've had in a pub) followed by hazelnut add chocolate fudge brownie. Yes all homemade!! Great pub vibe with a decent dining room. Really friendly she enthusiastic service.♥️♥️

The Grapes HotelBallarat, VICFirst opening their doors to weary gold miners back in 1858. An estimated 6000 diggers arrived each week seeking their fortune - & many turned up each night in-search lodging & a clean draught to ease their sorrows.With glorious polished timber & sandblasted brick front bar. It's surrounded by leadlight windows with small timber tables which serves a homely pub fair 7 nights a week. The bar specials are hard to go by while enjoying the delightful chatter of fellow patrons.I must say the steak sandwich is a must for anyone with some true blue grit that wears the same colour as their flannie!The dining room has a warm old school feel. Its walls are adorned with local prints of horse & carriage with sturdy pub carpet under foot, weathered by many years of good times turned into fond memories.No pokies onsite, which opens the door to a labyrinth of stories from the numerous grey beards in hi-vis perched at the bar.So come on in & let the bubbles of Ballarat's finest brew easy away the stress of long day - a pub hard to go by once you're visited. 7.5/10 @grapes_hotel_ballarat

Our first experience was amazing, Very Good Food and the Best ever Creme Brûlée this inspired the family and I to return the next night. Over 2 nights 14 meals, 8 deserts, salut to Dad 13-3-1942 to 10-8-2022. Cheers to Chef and staff.

Popped in on a for a quick beer/wine yesterday! The beer was icy cold and the savy b was great and locally produced. Decided to share a bar snack nachos! Yum, perfectly constructed to enjoy the variety of spices and textures, until the last bite! Will do again. Some parking at back area.
