Our sons been training with AKA for only a short period but I’m confident to say team AKA are the most friendly, welcoming, yet proper fight gym with active competing fighters.Their coaches are encouraging, engaging and knowledgeable. Coming from a background of little to no striking experience, it was definitely a challenge starting out.Fortunately, the culture here at AKA is fantastic. The coaches here are extremely knowledgeable and super focused on individual development. Additionally, the classes are fun, inclusive and practical. Most of the coaches here are also competitive fighters, so that's a plus.Couldn't recommend this place more.

They really put you through your paces so you feel like you had a good workout. Coaches are very attentive, pay attention to detail, and are welcoming and genuine. Highly recommend to all experiences levels.

Coach it's been a year since I joined AKA. Fitting into a size 18, unfit and not feeling very good about myself you have helped me to take the weight off as well as give me the energy to run around with a very energetic 4 year old.Not forgetting to mention the incredible photography calibration between AKA & Adonic Art it has been epic.Arming me with the skills to protect myself I recommend this non pretentious academy to everyone, A wonderful Coach and awesome members I am very happy here.Thank you, thank you!

Absolutely love this place. Been training here for 6 months and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. There’s something for all ages and skill levels and no matter who you partner with, everyone is willing to help. You will never feel uncomfortable. 10/10!

Highly recommended AKA coach Andrea is amazing and pushes me to achieve all that i can, she is very professional and knows her martial arts and i look forward each week for our 1 on 1 training, its been a good escape when pressure of work & life can be full on. Have also attended a few of their group classes and felt no matter what level you are at the coaches make you feel at ease. AKA feels like a second family the coaches and staff are very welcoming. I can hands down say this is the best academy to train at in Australia for anything to do with martial arts, from the moment I arrived at the academy I had a warm and welcoming experience, the staff run you through the induction and answer any questions you may have, everyone at the academy was very knowledgeable and it has a strong family like atmosphere which makes you feel like you belong, I was very nervous starting out but after my first day the nerves disappeared because of the way everyone made me feel and welcomed me in, start your journey with AKA today I promise you won’t regret it! Big kudos to Jim starting such a wonderful academy and transforming many lives including mine.

Great environment to train at. The coach is amazing and makes you feel comfortable even at beginner level. If you want to train without egos around this is the place.
