Loved the vibe of this place, you can tell how thoughtful the owner is. Definitely try the Joey Vodka, the flavour combination was perfect and the softness of the bread shows how fresh everything is.

If you’re looking for the best panini place in Sydney, it’s hard to look past Dom Panino in Leichhardt. The Porchetta panini (on the menu as Porchetta Bout It) is a pork lover’s delight; there is just the right amount of crackling inside that is cooked to perfection, complementing the very delicate and tasty slices of pork.Even when there’s a long line at the register, the paninis are made very quickly so it’s never a long wait. The staff are very friendly and polite, and the seating area modern and comfortable.Very highly recommended!

Nice food truck setup at at home front with undercover seating area. The Tony Soprawno was the standout here. Kudos to these guys for coming up with this one and naming it after my all time favourite TV show. Soft bread, perfectly cooked prawns and that melted cheese are a great combination. The Nonna was a bit dry for my palate but still enjoyable as the meat had good flavour and care was taken in prep. Looking forward to going back to try the rest.

New panino place with young vibrant owners Dom and Sara. We meet this couple in Palermo, Italy whilst on their honeymoon and boy do they have a passion for good food.Opening their own shop with fresh, fun, yummy food and good coffee. Its decievingly big and you can hire out for events. The building has a special meaning for this couples family which makes it extra special.Stopped by for breakfast and were definately impressed.Highly recommend!

The sandwiches are seriously good and very flavoursome. I highly recommend trying the Nonna’s Nostalgia sandwich. My ice latte was made well too. The ambience is quite nice and comfortable. Love the retro vibe of this venue. And superb customer service. My first time at this venue and the team were all very nice & helpful and on point with the service. Thanks so much for the complimentary donuts. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes from the menu.

Instant classic! This place is awesome. We had a couple of bits of the breky menu and they were amazing. Plus the pistachio doughnut - true highlight. I am so excited that this has opened so close to us. (Note for parents with little kids - No high chairs yet but they are on their way apparently.)

First will make a disclaimer that given I am vegetarian so was only looking at the veggie options. Was disappointed to see only 2 veggie panini on the menu, both which had eggplant in them and I am not a big fan of.Either way, we ordered the Serafena panino and Zucchini pasta. Was surprised that panino was cold but also felt was lacking seasoning and some cheese would have been a nice touch. Liked the pasta more but felt it was also under seasoned.Coffee was very good.Overall, we didn’t really enjoy our meal but think some small improvements could make a big difference. Panini prices are very high for what they are. Maybe the meat based panini and meals are their specialty.Would be great to see some more veggie panini options.

(3.5 stars)Queues abound at Leichhardt’s newest paninoteca—sandwich shop—Dom Panino. The corner shop, with its candy pink awnings and sun drenched footpath tables, is the logical next step for owner Dom Ruggeri who started this business as a popular Breakfast Point food truck during COVID-19. The red-sauce panino are based on his childhood memories of dipping crusty bread into home-style Sicilian dishes. There’s also a nod to New York in the sandwich names, with the long-standing Italian American community there making up the metro area’s largest ethnic group.Despite people snaking out onto the street, we snaffle seats at a family-style table in the back room, lined with framed family photos. Ordering is done at the front counter from a large pink menu board, with the daily pastries also on display. While we stick to a New York-style hoagie and a panino, it seems every other table is supplementing their sandwich with shared gnocchi fritti they’re treating as fancy chips, particularly when ordered al tartufo ($25).I’m happy with Rocky ($22), a messy to eat soft roll that tumbles out tender wagyu, fried onions and silky roasted red capsicum bound by melted provolone and American cheese. The bun is imported—a Martin’s hoagie bun—which stretches what I’m comfortable justifying as something we need to buy in. However it eats better than the deli-style panino, wagyu lookin’ at ($20). The latter arrives modestly layered with wagyu bresaola, rocket, Parmigiana and lightly pickled mushrooms. I found it dry and dominated by bread that felt stale, even with the drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, so I’d probably stick to items dominated by bolognaise and oozing cheese.
