Visited the transport museum ,excellent display of vintage trucks, etc .and all in showroom condition. A good trip down memory lane

All love to visit the Cultural Centre...Colonial Cafe have lovely meals and treats on offer and a great coffee. You can sit outside with a view of the lake and theirs many activities library, museum and a beautiful walk around the lake...great for the kids...an enclosed playground area outside while you have your coffee.

The grilled chicken burger you guys made was absolutely beautiful it had very good flavour. Also good was the crumbed calamari and the kids chicken nuggets. Meals are very reasonably priced and the staff were excellent.

Cool, friendly, and informative :)Lots of parking even a special area for caravans and motorhomes.They have an information centre as you first walk in with pamphlets of every major and minor area of Queensland.There are a few display cases of locally made or produced crafts and food products.I purchased some local honey which Im excited to try out!There’s a library connected to the main lobby plus a cafe and the museum to the other side.Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re traveling through the area or if you just want to know more about the Lockyer Valley :)

Went to the colonial cafe for $30 smorgasbord last night, was absolutely delicious. Left there so full, if you get a chance go there for sure .

Queensland Transport Museum, Lockyer Valley Regional Council Library, Colonial Cafe and meeting rooms all under the one roof beside Lake Apex. Reasonably priced meals, available for functions.Worth a visit..

This is a great hidden gem! The menu was extensive - lots of great options and all sounded delicious. There was 3 of us and we all really enjoyed our meals. We also loved the diversity in the staff - they were very encouraging of their special needs helpers. Highly recommend it's a great spot for lunch.

Public library, art gallery, anzac hall gallery, community rooms, cafe / restaurant, museum, air conditioned building, bathrooms, helpful council staff, local business products displayed in cabinets, travel & tourism information guides, get copies of local newspapers. Essential stop. Dont miss it.
