Dee's Book & Comic Shop

Great little shop, catering to the true collector through to the novice. The staff have great knowledge, huge supporter of Oz comic artists/creators and when able do great events. Shop can feel a little crowded and no frequent visit will find it hard to locate items but remember to just ask for help.

Store had everything I needed, also received a free copy of incoming (it was also a variant cover which was nice) as I had purchased an issue of Empyre. Bit of a drive a drive as I live down south, but it's worth it. Service is also friendly!

The volume and variety of comics here would be difficult to navigate if not for the equally voluminous knowledge of the staff - who know not only their comics but also their customers, who must be indexed by name, taste and spouse. My wife once entered the store looking for a gift. Brendan recognised her immediately and said, Jack will love this." (He was right.) The shop is great for T-shirts and toys

A really nice comic shop with excellent service. Brendan and the team always have perfect suggestions for all ages and tastes. My wife and kids have really enjoyed shopping there too.With a lot of shelf stock of Marvel, DC, indies and manga it's the best comic shop in Canberra!

A huge selection crammed into a painfully small and poorly lit space. I feel that they may even have a better range than the other Comic Shop in Canberra but only half the square footage in which to display it, so they went up! Some seriously high shelves in that shop!I will definitely go back but will both try to time it for when there are a minimum of other customers (so that I can actually move along the narrow gaps between shelves) and take a powerful torch so that I can read titles. In evolutionary terms, the best adapted customer for this shop is someone who is very tall, mesomorphically this and who can see in the dark.I did actually try to take some pictures, but it is so dark in there that none of them came out.

We got to visit last long weekend in June and so glad we did! This shop has something for everyone! We spent a couple of hours there because there was just so much to look at and browse through. My sons bought Naruto comics and Manga. We also got 4 packets of Jorels mystery packs with the recommendation of Jorel in person! Brendan the owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We cant wait to visit again when lockdown is over!

My partner and I came into the store a few weeks ago for a browse. A member of staff (we assume the owner) was having a conversation with another employee behind the counter when we came in. His voice was very loud, and we could hear all the details of what should have been a very private conversation without any intention of eavesdropping.He was complaining to the younger person about an employee that was not present. He was saying that this other employee was going through a rough time at home, and had asked to work only a few more hours per week to assist with paying the bills. The owner said that this was a big problem, and seemed frustrated that the employee was eager to work at all, making it seem like he was doing them a great service by having them in his employment at all. He was also discussing the fact that he didn't like to pay his team their Sunday rates. My partner and I heard this very much against our will, and we were taken aback by the way he was so openly discussing something rather private, very loudly, when there were people very clearly in the shop.We have visited the shop before and the first visit was not like this. However, the shop is very cramped. There is not sufficient shelving so there are things on the floor almost everywhere. Some of the items are also overpriced by a few dollars, but there is a decent selection of goods here.Overall, we were unimpressed by the complete lack of consideration for the other employee's privacy, and we will likely not return to this location.

My son was so excited to check out this comic shop! Extensive range of comics and graphic novels. Lots of stock and all in excellent condition. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back again.

I've been shopping at Dee's since sometime in the 90's and I won't be stopping anytime soon. My favourite comic store in Canberra.

Dee's is a fantastic little local comic shop. The staff are always ready for chat and are very helpful! Brendon was very helpful when I had to make an exchange, and some of my favourite collectables have been purchased at Dee's.
