Went there with friends and family for the first time. I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the place looks and its kid friendly. That’s where the good ends. We ordered pork ribs, chicken tacos, kids dinosaur nuggets, Caesar salad and black pepper beef with steamed rice. The food ranged from disgusting to bland. The ribs were dry under seasoned and barely glazed. They could have been days old and I wouldn’t be surprised. The black pepper beef was practically seasoned with just soy, not horrible but not far off. The Caesar salad dressing was watery and tasted odd. I had one bite and could tell it wasn’t right. The taco was meh, Basically, we had an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons. Completely avoidable

Awesome spaced out seating with room to move. The kids area was a hit with our kids. The online ordering system was excellent - our food came out quickly. The staff were polite and efficient. We had a selection of fish taco's, Angus steak, prawn linguini, chicken schnitzel and pork knuckle. We will definitely visit again to try other dishes.

We had our Christmas party here at lunch time. Organising it was easy, the area was separate to the rest of the restaurant, food was beautiful and staff easy to deal with. Thank you West's Ashfield Leagues.

Service: very goodWait time: long waitFood: below averageWe arrived as group of 7 and some of us had vegetarian dietary requirements.The waiter was welcoming and friendly.Once we made our order, pizza come first and took about 15 minutes, sausage and mash took 20 minutes and the rest took about 35 minutes to over 40 minutes to arrive, I was almost done with my meal when the last meal arrived at the table.The wait time is extremely disappointing.The sausage and mash was not bad, but also nothing to write home about..The vegetarian pizza was extremely salty, and yet tasteless.There was no salt nor vinegar in the salt and vinegar potatoes.One of the vegetarian pasta was undercooked and hard to chew.The 1kg slow roast pork is nothing like their promo photo, majority of the weight is taken up by the bone, the meat was tough and very difficult to bite down, took a lot of effort just to carve it with the steak knife.This was a disappointing experience for all of us.

We noticed something different at our weekly markets, a lot of buzz around this new up and coming pop up stall for a new restaurant in Ashfield. The stall for the day was very successful.Breakfast bowl;; fermented vegetables and quinoa topped with a soft boiled free range egg drizzled with a walnut pesto $6 - amazingly priced, i wish this was there every week, so simple yet delicious and healthy

The food can be a hit and miss here. Definitely recommend the scotch fillet steak and seafood plate. The lamb rump was good but the potatoes were burnt and lamb on the fatty side. We did also order the arranchinis but they tasted raw and frozen.

West Leagues Club has renovated its top floor and turned it into a space that is family friendly while supporting its underlying business of selling drinks and collecting money from people off the pokies.The Garden is the primary food outlet here with a menu covering pizza, pasta, steaks, seafood and a range of drinks and desserts, distinguishing itself from the common bistros offerings of parmies, steaks and chips.While the menu is ambitious, the food itself needs a bit more work. The seafood chowder was tasty but there were quite a lot of fish scales in the soup. The mussels were tasty and cooked nicely but many were not adequately de-bearded and there were quite a few that were served un-opened. Also, the polenta chips were not firm enough to be handled.The service was good but I did have to chase the waiter for a watermelon juice that finally arrived when mains were served. And I was led to believe that the chili mussels were mild but ended up having to wash each one of them with table water before my son could eat them.Overall, the leagues club had a great vision and have done a magnificent job in upgrading their bistro. While there are issues, the place has potential and is definitely a standout when compared to other clubs.

We were there celebrating my dad’s birthday, great atmosphere, friendly staff. And every dish surprised us, including the pizza. The beef cheek and osso bucco are so tender that my parents enjoyed a lot. The prices are very affordable, which surprised us again in the end. Happy with everything :)

Our most recent experience at The Garden was excellent.- Juicy black angus and truffle burger- Soft fish tacos cooked wellYou order at your table via the app and food and drinks are delivered to you.I’ve rated as four stars for the following reasons :- soft drinks are expensive.- the noise from the kids area adjacent to the restaurant is very loud. Management could fix this by enclosing that area.- we’ve had a bad experience prior to COVID at the restaurant where we’ve had to send our food back. This time was a massive improvement!!
