Having been to Chois previously, we thought this would be a good choice to go to again with friends (last night). However ... the staff were NOT friendly at all. We waited and waited and waited for close to an hour for the meals to come out, and when they finally came, they were totally staggered. They also gave the wrong duck dish to the wrong person, without telling us what it was, and due to extreme hunger, much of the dish was already eaten before the mistake was realised. To add insult to injury, one meal came out AFTER all of us had pretty much finished eating. This is unacceptable. We kept asking where the dish was (as we'd come here to all eat TOGETHER), and we were told it was still being cooked. We eventually asked for the manager, and were told that he's in the kitchen and too busy doing take away cooking instead of managing the patrons at the restaurant. Not once did we hear any form of apology. They just don't get it. You are only as strong as your weakest link, and last night they let us down to the point we will not be coming back. Very disappointing, as the food is usually very nice.

Very good service, every dish was fresh and tasty with delicate flavours and sauces. The decor was elegant and sophisticated. My favourite dishes were the lobster, peking duck and calamari.

If someone hadn't reminded me about this restaurant, I would have completely forgotten about it. And even if I drove by a few times, I don't think I would have noticed it, because it's in a very unassuming location with a very low key facade, but let me tell you that the interior is beautiful and very, very spacious. They were exceptionally accommodating tonight, as they were solidly booked (which tells you how good they are) yet they found a way to squeeze us in if we went a little early, which was no problem at all.The food is as beautiful as the decor and the service was top notch. I had the Pan Fried Curried Beef Dumplings and the Sweet and Sour Chicken in Batter which were both SO incredibly delicious. Everyone else at the table loved their meal too and we will definitely come back.It can get a little loud, but again, good service, good food and it was a really nice dining experience. I highly recommend it.In an update ... Went there again tonight, and the service was exceptionally slow. When the mains eventually came out, the Sweet and Sour Chicken was DOWSED in garlic. There was nothing sweet or sour about it, but it was now Garlic Chicken. It was disgusting. When the waiter cleared our plates and we told him why half of ours each was still on the plate, we said it was soooo heavy in garlic, and he just thanked us. It will be quite a while before we go there again.

Our host was surprised that not all the tables were booked. Maybe it was the long weekend. For me, this was the first time, but it won't be the last. The food was amazing. Service with a smile and a great wine list to match. Peking duck, scallops done four ways, spring onion pancakes, San choi bau were all exemplary, and the fried rice was some of the best I've ever eaten. What an institution.

Damn that's some fancy interiors for a Chinese restaurant no wonder it's $6 PER spring roll. Look this place didn't blow my mind I went with regulars who rave about it and as such I let them take over the ordering. Potentially this hampered my enjoyment as I probably would have chosen differently myself but nothing was particularly bad I just don't think it was adequate considering the serving size and pricing. The service is exceptional and the surroundings are elegant and refined but at the end of the day it's all about the food and it was a bit lacking for me. Truly stunning decor with beautiful orchards and lighting creating a lovely atmosphere so good for a special occasion with someone who loves Chinese cuisine

We thoroughly enjoyed our very first meal at Choi's and will definitely be returning - the food is simply delicious. The only disappointing part was the service. None of the many waiters who served us even attempted to crack a smile. It was like the police were taking our order - somewhat intimidating and scary! Because we had multiple waiters they didn't know who ordered what - expected more from a classy restaurant. Meals arrived at different times and plates were removed while others were still eating - we felt hurried. Some had only just finished their entree when the main course landed. It was noisy and no background music so the atmosphere wasn't great. We appreciated the automatic sliding door and ramp to enter. If you go to Choi's don't expect to be welcomed with open arms and smiles, but you'll love the food!

Booked to celebrate a double birthday for 2 couples.Venue looks beautiful but that’s it.Yes the food was tasty but that’s all.Service is below acceptable levels . Slow Kitchen who took far too long to send food out. One main course dish came out an hour after the others. Why serve us rice and then deliver Mains 10-20 minutes later ..price .. it’s far from cheap. And no I won’t tip for bad service! Not rushing back!

Worst experience in a restaurant for a while. Went as a group of 4 for Mother’s Day dinner and was left still hungry after spending $525. The fried rice tasted like it was cooked the night before and microwaved, my local Chinese takeaway place can cook fried rice better than them. one dish we never got as they had just completely forgot about and got charged for two bottles of wine even though we only had one.Ordered a vermicelli prawn clay pot which cost $112 !! I don’t understand why there are are no prices on the Chinese menu ?? Only discovered the cost of this on the bill.Expected a lot more from the food and service given the price they are charging.
