Veterinary Consultants - Point Cook

The most overpriced vet I have ever been too in my life. We had bought in our dog as an emergency as our vet was closed and our dog was having difficulty breathing through the night. We knew it was going to cost us a bit but wasn't expecting over $3000 let alone not starting treatment on our dog unless we paid half straight away. (Even though we explained that our daily limit was only $1000 and it was 3 am ) the vet was like well can't you just put some on a credit card kinda of rudely.So we no choice. We would have pulled together any amount to save our dog that wasn't the issue but vet emergency can be expensive yes And offering no payment plan the balance was due the next day when we picked up our beloved dog. If I can offer some advice if you are in an emergency situation please look at the Lort Smith very caring and offer payment plans for costly emergency that were not planned for. We found this out after we dealt with this vet.

After my puppy got a bone lodged in his jaw late on Sunday night I called and spoke to a very helpful and friendly vet nurse who suggested I come in. She told me in advance of the fees and potential wait time. When I did arrive, she inspected my dog immediately, and after a 10 minute wait she and another nurse were able to remove the bone, and sent me on my way. On my way out, she told me there was no fee and even after I inisited.A very positive experience, and I would definitely recommend them.

Don't bother. The place is so understaffed it's ridiculous. Staff are friendly, but stressed. I waited over 2 hours until I'd had enough and spoke to the nurse only to be told it would still be quite a wait to see the vet. I made the decision to take my pet home and monitor him myself. It would've been nice if they had told me that I was not a priority and that I had a very lengthy wait instead of saying it would be about 1/2 hour. Despite the wait, I'm sure they wouldn't have hesitated to sting me the $145 consultation fee plus whatever else would've been needed had I actually seen the vet

Very thankful to the vets at Pt Cook, especially Beau. They helped save my fox terrier, Cas. They were happy to take my calls and give me updates any time of the day or night. Very caring staff.

Our GS was choking on a lamb cutlet and we rushed him to the clinic. Everyone there was so friendly and attended to both of us with such care and handled the whole thing so well. We walked out of there all well, thanks to the team at Animal Accident Emergency. To this day we are so very thankful for what they had done for our dog.

Nasty nasty people. Are only happy to help if they are profiting off your pets. Bought my kitten in which I'd only just got as she was very sick, she wasn't yet registered or micro-chipped as she was only 6 weeks old and had only just gotten her. The Vet considered that she wasn't mine and was a stray and whisked her away out of my arms stating that they were going to give her to the council/pound, never acknowledged that I was trying to save her and get her better and were very insensitive and biased to the situation. I never saw her again :( Don't trust these people with your pets - seems like they're just in it for the money!!!

The service was great, late at night with no wait time. Pretty easy to get to, lots of available parking. Our vet was very lovely and knowledgeable. The downside Is, it's very pricey and you will be paying much more then some other places.

I took my dog Jezza to this clinic as he had a rash all over his stomach. The staff were brilliant with him, even when he tried nipping as he was upset. We both left feeling much better. I would take him back there immediately if he needed to go again. Great Job!

Understaffed and unable to multitask. Vet keeps using others as excuse to not treat. Got sent home, awaited phone call. Thankfully not as life threatening as expected but still needed treated - over 9hrs in care and 0 treatement done. Had to pay 50% of potential bill upfront - $1500 for little to no care is ridiculous.

Have had experience at both Pt Cook & Essendon with my Grey hound & somewhat accident prone cat .I have always had really great service when I have turned up ( even at 1 in the morning) & the staff are extremely skilled & professional. They really looked after my animals & I would not hesitate to recommend them.
