Riverside Driving Range

As far as driving ranges go this place is fine, the aesthetics could be improved though.

Cheap, yes. Staff are pleasant and do the best with the resources provided, the driving mats are actually in good nick, though half the sign markers are gone, so you get what you pay for. We'd all love to see the opening hours extended. I'd pay a few extra bucks for improved facilities and longer opening hours, under council control I guess this is the best we'll get. It is a shame, the facilities are pretty busy, occasionally you need to wait for a pod to be available, so the demand is certainly there from the community. The potential to make this a highly profitable money spinner for the council is wasted.

New management seems to know what they are doing. They are getting better overall. Things are taken care of and customers services are good when machine doesn't work or Mat issue etc.

Amazing, helpful staff and a very relaxing environment. Was a great visit and I’d be happy to head back!

The range has free parking and balls for 11.50 for 100.It's not a fancy range but you're not paying fancy prices.Perfect place to go and hit a few hundred shots and with the average shot being 11.5c it's a lot cheaper than a few other ranges.As another reviewer mentioned, the balls are old, a few were chipped and should have been binned.I'll be back again but will balance with the smart ranges as well when looking to measure distance

Unfortunately the Driving range is poorly managed and inconsistent with information provided around opening and closing times. After checking the MVC website Monday 2nd Jan for opening times I arrived to see a note saying the range was closed due to extreme weather forecast. It wasn’t overly hot and you are under cover. I noticed the tennis courts weren’t closed. Extreme weather forecast preventing people hitting golf balls under cover but ok to run around playing tennis. Maybe it a cost saving exercise to close the driving range as staff are required. I drove to Yarra Bend golf range and they were open. Not to hot over there.

Last time I was here they were about to close (3pm on a Friday). The guy working told me to take a photo of opening hours. I did. Opening hours stated 8pm Thursday. Arrived this Thursday to view changed opening hours at shut at 3pm. Would take anyone 2mins to update their hours on Google. Just plain lazy. Pretty annoying. Why would any golf driving range shut early on Thursday and Friday during summer. Makes no sense

Yeah don't waste your time. They're closed most times that their website says they're open and even they are actually open you rock up, park and walk towards someone standing there telling you they're closed until a later time that day (it was an hour later from when we rocked up). No effort made by these guys to better inform their customers. This is the 4th and last time.You can take control of what is shown on Google Business, you just need to make the effort. 4 times mate, it's more likely to be closed when it says it's open" than actually being open. Ball connection tractor isn't working and the other time was the ball machine that wasn't working. Defend it all you like

Used to be a good driving range and now it is absolutely terrible. Hours have been heavily reduced because they built netball courts to the side of the range and then reneged on building a net so now range has to close when netball is on.Used to be two levels of bays but now only one so expect to wait as with limited hours this place gets busy.Balls are old and worn.Take the time to drive to Albert Park driving range instead of this severally run down range.1st May 2022Anytime you visit on a weekend be prepared to be restricted to a maximum 50 balls. This happens when there are many bays free. It would appear it's because they don't have enough balls.Saturday not opening until 5.30pm is extremely disappointing. Don't expect to see your ball once you've hit it due to how dark it is at that time
