EFTPOS at Bistro was not working. I was not told nor was there a sign indicating that it was down. Staff told me I could use the ATM to get cash out. $2.50 just to get cash out. I know I'm being a little bit of a Karen but I asked if they could give me a $2.50 discount on our meals. Kitchen manager replied We don't do discount's".They stuffed up and wouldn't own it. F#$k them. Walked out."

Can't say this was very enjoyable at all. Barramundi was the order. Absolutely no flavour what so ever. Filled up on the chips, which was unfortunately the best part of the meal. Was told it was the same owners as the Bradford. If that be the case, the chefs need to teach the Ruddi a few lessons.

Pepper sauce is always the best at the Rutherford Hotel. We ordered Chicken Snitzel with chips and salad + Pepper Sauce.. I've never finished my meal when i dine out, but i did tonight. Beef Nachos is also delicious. Staff was always there to ask if everything was good.

Attended restaurant for first time after positive feedback from friends. Was an easy process booking a table online, restaurant has its own direct entry from the car park, Staff were friendly, was quiet when we attended so not a long wait on food.The Schnitzel's here are really nice as was the chicken burger. Wouldn't recommend the pasta however or the godfather topper. I was disappointed the meat on the topper wasn't cooked more and predominantly consisted of cheese.

Netty. Was. Here. I was absolutely delighted at the $14 Midweek Lunch Specials! What a great selection of meals for the ABSOLUTE cheapest price you will find in any pub restaurant.My meal wasn’t without minor issues which personally I wasn’t concerned; what was a stand out for me is the incredible staff member who approached me to check on how my meal was going.I wasn’t going to say anything but the friendly, open and approachable lady made my meal and quite possibly my day.She was so open to suggestions, willing to compensate or replace for my fairly minor inconvenience. What a committed staff member who needs to be recognised for doing such a good job!I had the Salmon Patties; with a bit of tweaking this can become a favourite for all of those that have a special memory or person connected to such an old school type dish.I’ll be back.. absolutely! I’ll be here to taste test the whole menu and at these prices, I think I’ll be able to afford to bring my whole family.

Really disappointed with the service in the bistro. My wife and I have been going to the bistro every Tuesday night for dinner for several years. Last Tuesday night the 14th of Match we were there as usual, ordered out meal and waited and waited and waited. A number of people who placed an order after us had finished their meal before we received our meal. No apology for the delay, nothing. Had it been busy I would have understood but it was obvious they lost our order. I will never go back again to this establishment there are plenty of other great places to eat in Maitland with far better service.

Had a schnitzel with a topper. Chicken was really bland, even with the topper. Suggest there needs to be some marinating of the chicken or seasoning in the crumb to make them much more enjoyable.

Delicious food, well priced.The lovely lady who was taking care of the dining area (very pretty lady in her 40's) didn't get her name, was making sure everyone in the place was happy & well taken care of. Couldn't of been a nicer dining experience!

A good local pub. Casual atmosphere and good menu. Staff are friendly and remember drink preferences across the whole night.
