Manor Homes – Display Centre

I am close to handover of my new home, ahead of schedule at present. The whole process to date has been great. The communication has been great and I was encouraged to visit the home in the 'factory' weekly during the building. If I couldn't get there, Laura sent photos and videos for me. The move onto my block was seamless precision.Bill was our first contact and explained the process well and worked on my plans. Micah is my site manager and has been great to work with, even when I've made changes part way through the build. I'm looking forward to moving in and enjoying my home soon.It's been a great experience from the beginning.

I would like to be able to move on from the continuing problems I have faced with my Manor Homes build but, even during the planning stage, a lack of communication led to many avoidable mistakes which had to be rectified. Similarly there was no communication, as promised, between the site manage and my tradespeople, costing me more money, for example, when the decking was done before the stormwater plumbing had been installed. Now, nearly 2 years on from handover, I am still waiting for repairs to be carried out efficiently, so that another visit is not needed to repair the repairs. Apart from the many minor repairs caused by poor workmanship, I am still waiting to hear what will be done about the Havwood wood flooring I paid extra for, which is splintering along the edges. Manor's answer? Just fill the gaps (and there are many) with a wood putty that is glaringly obvious. I would not recommend Manor to anyone.

A pleasure doing business with Bill and the Manor team. We live 6 hrs away from Lisarow in rural NSW and Bill was very accommodating of this with zoom meetings.

Had the house built back in January and turned up on the block a month later. Was stalled for months by the foreman including taking a photo of us as “happy customers “ on the balcony only to give the key back straight after because it should have been finished 2 months before. Finally moved in in June. So far had to have the floor replaced and noticed the grout in the shower to be falling away. Paint chipping off the front of the house already as well.Absolutely garbage workmanship and bitterly disappointed.

I have picked this company to build my home. Their quality of materials and build is extraordinary. Top notch. Wayne Reardon takes you through everything in a calm, informative and pleasent way. If he doesn't have the answer to your question he is honest enough to say so. But he finds the answer quickly and informs you. Thank you Wayne.

We met with Wayne Reardon at the display house in Lisarow. Wayne spent his time outlining everything he could and answered all ourquestions. The quality of the homes and the professional manner of the staff, coupled with the level of communication meant there was no other choice for our project. As you know, my wife and I have been in the building business for over 30 years, but not experienced in modular design and construction and so it's pleasing to find someone who is professional, knowledgeable and helpful in this modular system. Your helpful approach along with the obvious professionalism, attention to detail and quality control of Manor homes has made it a pleasure to work with you. I am in the final stage of a build with Manor and am thrilled with the house! I had a difficult size and shape of block to work with, and got a customised solution. The sales process was easy and communicative, and I especially enjoyed the construction updates from the manager they put onto the factory build. The whole process was conducted remotely, which worked well for me.We had no shortage of hiccups with approvals but through all of it the folks at Manor were able to provide quick solutions. The onsite trades were coordinated quickly and with minimum fuss. I can't wait to get into it soon, it's been an excellent journey and I couldn't recommend them enough for a new build!

When I visited Manor Homes I met Bill Sealey one of the sales team, it was then I knew they were a company I could trust, he told me all the pit falls and hidden issues that no other company bothered to discuss, well done Manor you have a legend on your front line, trust is a 2 way street and you have earned it.

My partner and I are angry, disappointed and feel completely deceived with the treatment we received from Manor Homes. At first, they made building our dream home sound so easy for a reasonable price. They convinced us to spend more money for an external planner to get our application across the line with Maitland City Council. This was due to the planners they employed not producing quality or timely work. When the final estimate arrived, it was close to $200,000 more than the original estimate! The new estimate was full of exclusions that they had said were possible in the original quote. Never mind there were at least another $100,000 worth of expenses that we would have to pay for. $300,000 extra for a kit home is ridiculous! This is almost the price of the original estimate. The price hikes on some items were astronomical. For example, the laundry (not plumbed in or with electricity on the second quote), went from $23,600 to $68,730! Another example was the cost of raising the house, which increased from $15,150 to $44,650! They seemed to have not looked at the original estimate because there were also materials we did not request in the second quote. Furthermore, some of the materials to be used were not clearly stated. They advised they would reply to our email questioning the huge hike in prices by the end of the week 22.6.2021. It’s now late October and we still have heard nothing! Please stay away from Manor Homes. They appear to lure customers in with deceitful quotes. Once they have you signed up, the costs become astronomical. We can only assume that they didn't want to build our home, so escalated the price knowing we would refuse the quote.
