At all stages they were responsive to questions, they provided as much information we required and most importantly to us allowed us to have full control over building choices. As a result, the flat is exactly what we wanted and built to a high standard to the most minute details. We are more than happy to recommend them.

I had a fantastic experience with Canberra Granny Flat Builders. The design was perfect for my needs and the onsite team were friendly, flexible and professional. It is now almost two years since the end of construction and I continue to be delighted with the new secondary residence on my block. This is an exciting time for us because the 1-bedroom house represents extra income for our family as we will rent it out full time. Frank Walmsley who is the business owner/auctioneer has guided our expectations effortlessly and he has become a friend who we will rely on for future property sales and purchases. CGFB have more than 150 designs in an impressive 'big book' that you can flick through. We received a beautiful box delivered to our house that contained the book and it helped us to research, choose, and decide upon what we could afford and what we really needed. I am touched by the care that this company has toward all of its customers in any phase of contact.

In 2018-19 we engaged Canberra Granny Flat Builders (CGFB) to construct a one bedroom studio flat in our backyard. Nick Constable and the crew at CGFB were thoroughly professional and attentive to our needs and aspirations. They led us through the planning and approvals process and dealt with planning authorities on our behalf, and basically took all the pain away. They were happy to prepare a quote based on our own design, which meant we got exactly what we wanted. We were in constant communication with Nick and his 'go-to man' Matt, and CGFB were ready and willing to solve any problem. Nick is a stickler for 'doing things right', and the project pretty much kept to schedule with very little in the way of 'down time' and no corners cut. Nick is also a strong advocate for minimising waste and using the most environmentally effective materials and methods. CGFB use skilled, reliable subcontractors with whom they have a strong, positive relationship (in fact we have used some of these same tradesmen for other projects). This means no buck-passing and, when problems arise, they are fixed. Our relationship with CGFB, the quality of the workmanship, and Nick's attention to project management and quality control all combined to make this build a very positive experience. I could not recommend CGFB more highly.

We had our 2 bedroom Granny Flat built by Canberra Granny Flat Builders, their process is faultless and exactly as they promote. Their advice prior to building was exceptional and profesional to the very last detail, their fixed price promotion is clear to understand and true to their word, no hidden agendas’. the approval process was seamless and a few issues identified at handover were rectified swiftly. It didn’t stop there, we put a claim in after 4 years of completion and the issue was rectified to our complete satisfaction. We will be undertaking major renovations to our primary residence in the near future and will look no further than Canberra Granny Flat Builders. We have recommended CGFB to our friends and highly recommend them as a highly professional and competent building company.

They are the best builder in Canberra if not in the whole Australia.Everyone understands building a house is not an easy task especially during the Covid time. A good builder does not mean they do not make any mistake. As long as they are human being, they do make mistakes somethings.But what I can say (base on my experience with them) is that they ALWAYS fix those errors and mistakes in a proper way even some problems are out of their control.

Frank and Nick were great to deal with, very responsive with any issues that arose. Dissappointed we couldnt get the renovations done through CGFB as that was not what they speciallised in at the time. Also dissappointed that some small details were left off the plans which myself and wife had no idea about. (old hallways and arch ways werent 'in the scope') we got these issues sorted with minimal fuss and are thoroughly enjoying the house extensions.

Yesterday I completed an initial meeting and design planning with Frank Walmsley and the team at Canberra fixed price extensions and granny flat builders.My project is a second storey extension above garage, suitable as a seperate dwelling in Gungahlin.While I’m not sure if I will continue with the project at this stage due to setback restrictions, I really want to take the opportunity to commend Frank.I entered the meeting with trepidation, but found Frank to be open, friendly and very knowledgeable on design ideas and Canberra planning approvals.He was also able to think laterally, giving me new ideas to ponder.Their planning processes seems very professional and aimed at assuring council approval.Finally, There was no financial obligations on my part and I didn’t feel pressured at any time.As such, I would definitely recommend Frank and his team to friends and family.Thanks
