The pani puri is a must have at this quaint and quirky Indian restaurant.Overall a nice chilled vibe with interesting Bombay style street art. Pretty cool ambience for a tiny place.Loved the ragda patties, pani puri and pav bhaji was good too. It fell short with the paneer Tikka (too dry and thick), Bharat was too tangy and tomatoey, and the falooda was dry and not good. Dal makhani was delicious and the chapatis are a rare find like Indian mums make them homestyle and thin! You can't find chapati like this at most Indian restaurants across Melbourne.Overall I would go back and I do recommend this place but they need to improve some dishes.

Amazing experience. We went to celebrate our anniversary and believe me we were right about this place. The food was awesome, tasty, it has unbelievable taste, and a must place to go for best Indian food. The owner is very polite and welcoming with lovely staff..It’s one of the favourite place for our upcoming celebrations….

This is a great Indian cuisines gem in melbourne.There is a huge selection of food in the menu and the customer service is great.The 4 stars actually comes for taste, unfortunately i did not find the food to be deliciousIts good food but did not give me this aha moment.I could probably say maybe the flavour was not too strong maybe not sure exactly what was itThe one thing annoyed me as well the use of chicken thigh cuts only in the biryani and the butter chicken.The only one thing i found so delicious was one of the entree BHEL Puri

A lot has changed since our last good experience and we have noticed a decline in quality and quantity of food in our last few dine-ins. Even the feedback to the floor and kitchen staff falls on deaf ears. I'm changing my 5 star review to 1 star just because of the fact that no one takes the feedback in person seriously.

Chapati is a cute and modern Indian restaurant and is one of the best Indian food i have had in Melbourne. Everything we ordered are delicious and would definitely come back. The only downside is they are a little slow. Recommend booking ahead on weekends as we are lucky to get the last walk-in table on a Sunday night.

I really don’t get the 5 ⭐️ reviews, we had a call from the restaurant right at the time of our booking and we clearly said we are right outside the restaurant but struggling to find a parking spot given how busy the area is, it took us about 10 or 15 minutes to find parking and we were like 15 minutes late all up, which is sure our fault but when they knew we were around and struggling to get parking, we felt they would wait but no second call and on arrival we were told that our booking was cancelled but then they gave us a table so it was all good.The decor and ambiance is on point, but the positives end there.Food is mediocre with no much flavour to it.The portion sizes are okay (not too big not too small) but for the price it doesn’t hit the expected quality or taste. Also just one dirty unisex toilet which is accessible near kitchen.Overall not happy and won’t be coming back

The pani puris are an absolute disaster. Also just one dirty unisex toilet which is accessible near kitchen.Overall not happy and probably won’t be coming back

The ambience is great. Slightly expensive when compared to other Indian restaurants of similar kind, but it is eligible for Melbourne Money cash back program.It’s a small place but very well put together. Courteous staff. Very good food presentation and multiple options for breads. The naan was exceptionally good, however all the starters and main course was bland for my taste palette. Great dessert options although couldn’t try.
