Economy Rental Cars Gold Coast

We hired a car for a week for a family holiday and would highly recommend Economy Rental Cars Gold Coast. The price was great and the communication and service from the team was faultless. The car was perfectly clean and the car seats for the kids were installed safely when we arrived to pick the car up. I was impressed with the attention to detail, with the car seat straps being set at different heights (based on my email description of the size / age of the kids). We had no issues with the car throughout the week and staff were friendly and helped us triple check we hadn't left anything behind when we returned the car. Thanks!

We can’t speak highly enough of this business. Excellent customer service ( quick response and easy booking service) and very warm and friendly. Even got a few hot tips about the Gold Coast. They were easily the most affordable from the car rental business at the airport. The car that we rented was brilliant and in excellent condition. We had two kids that both needed different car seats. Which they had set up for us on our arrival.5 out of 5 stars for this business. We will only use them when coming to the Gold Coast.

After a quick walk from the Airport we arrived at the depot only to discover a mix up with the dates on our booking. Despite the mix up, Economy car rentals were able to happily provide us with a replacement car so we could begin our holiday hassle free. Exceptional customer service and assistance along with going out of their way to ensure we got on the road quickly and hassle free played a big part on the success of our holiday. We would not hesitate to book this company again or recommend them to anyone looking for a car on the Gold Coast. Thanks again!

A pleasure to deal with. I contacted Economy to book a vehicle the day before our trip and was told all cars were fully booked. Fair enough. Later the next day Economy kindly contacted me to advise of a cancellation. I got Economy's message upon touching down at Coolangatta so hustled a quick reply in the hope the vehicle was still available. Economy had set the vehicle aside for us. Pick-up ended up being very easy and stress-free. We've had a lovely vehicle at a great rate for the duration of our trip and are very thankful for Economy's service.

Ian has been so patient in replying all my emails filled with enquiries before my trip. He greatly assured me of what he can provide as this was my first time not renting a holiday car from the big guys. His wife also lent me her personal phone holder that I need on the rented car. We had a minor accident when reversing and it’s assuring to know I am in good hands. It was settled with the reduced excess of $250 in my package. The payment of $10/day to reduce the excess is highly recommended. The 8 seater Toyota Tarago was in good driving condition for our smooth drives. Our reversing was affected as the car did not have reverse sensor that we got too used to on our own car. Thank you and will highly recommend your company to my friends too.

I was really disappointed with my experience today. I am a travel agent and have dealt with many car hire companies over the years. I will never recommend this company again, to anyone, sneaky hidden costs, over charging customers and there are far more cheaper companies that provide car hire from Coolangatta airport.

Do not mistake this company for Economy Car Rentals. This is the real deal, a genuine local car rental company not a broker based in Europe. I am the first to bag a bad company online but believe the same should be done for good company's. I have been renting cars for years, all over the world using the majors, but never again on the Gold Coast. If you want something to get you around the Gold Coast / Byron this company is the answer. The cars are a little older and may have the odd small dent or scratch but at 1/3 the rental price and without the expensive extras, this company is fantastic. If you need the extras (Brisbane or excess insurance) they don't charge an arm and leg as well. I had a Hyundai Accent with 60,000 klms on the clock, the car was fine, went well, was clean and was big enough to do the job I needed carrying 2 people with 3 BIG suitcases and 2 hand luggage. Service was as good as I have had anywhere and I had an early out of hours drop off that couldn't have been simpler and without cost. Even better, it was half the distance to their yard from arrivals (outside the terminal building) than last time I rented through a major and had to walk to the opposite far end of the airport rental car park for their bays. I have already recommended this company to friends whilst I stayed and will continue to recommend and use them myself, each time I return to the Coast. How I feel right now, I think I'll be a life time customer of Economy whenever we're in Gold Coast.Jetstar cancelled our Gold Coast flight today on short notice.It's been a day of stress looking at options for our party of 9. Lots of time soothing the 4 kids who were disappointed to say the least - 1st family trip in 4 years.Ian at Economy was more than understanding. Allowed us to cancel the 2 SUV bookings without any fuss - won't ever take payment from me to compensate him for his troubles.Economy was the most reasonable priced & best customer serviced rental cars that I've found. And we'll continue to use their cars whenever we're in GC.Thanks Ian & team!

Best and cheapest Car rentals in Gold Coast. I got a Hyundai accent for 3 days including $250 excess insurance at 156 aud. They are very experienced and most importantly very friendly staff. Their vehicles are properly serviced. Cars are neat and tidy...Highly recommended.

A pleasant surprise. I rented 2 cars over 3 weeks for a mix of personal and tour-guiding. I was apprehensive over the disparity between great reviews and cheap prices, but it bore out. Both small car and 8 seater were in good condition and clean. Staff interaction was quick, friendly, and most importantly, to the point.Ian modified my booking with cheer several times as my needs changed.Thanks a lot to all staff, for making this trip all the more enjoyable.
