When it comes to vegetarian food, it doesn't get much better than Vegie Mum. Having been to the Fitzroy and Doncaster stores, can strongly recommend every single dish - not one bad or average dish at all (drinks menu is pretty average, but who comes to an Asian restaurant for the cocktails anyway?).We ordered the black olive tofu, stone fish with sweet Chili sauce and the Thai braised steak with basil leaf sizzling plate with rice for everyone and could not fault any dish. Ended up having 5 bowls of rice - lucky its rice per person not per bowl.Definitely looking forward to the next time at Vegie Mum

I just have recieved my food order from uber eats ( fried rice) and it was the most flavourless fried rice i have ever tasted, so blant, so meh, for 22$ its like basically having plain fried rice, which you can get for 3$ at coles save your money. Never ordering from here and wouldnt recommend

Flavourful and delectable vegetarian dishes, affordable price and satisfying serving size! The mock meat they used was also good quality I had to ask the staff if it's really mock meat as the taste and texture was too convincing. Certainly one of the top vegetarian restaurants in Fitzroy.

The restaurant was quite packed on a Sunday evening. Overall great experience, a delicate place that offers affordable and delicious chinese vegetarian food. Interesting menu items such as lemon “chicken”, sweet and sour “fish”… We ordered the sweet and sour fish and it was actually tofu made into the shape of a fish! (There was even this “fish skin” made from seaweed!). I would highly recommend their signature tofu bowl, their homemade tofu was so soft and silky! Thumbs up to the manager who was very friendly and helpful!

Amazingly fast service. Efficient booking system. The Assam fish was a taste bomb! If you ask for spicy you will get spicy! We loved the food so much we had to put in a second round order of more food. Definitely coming back.

We were disgusted with the attitude of the staff. After we ordered 4 items from the menu, his comment was only" 4 items for 6 people? We sat at the table attempting to chat and he came to quickly clear everything off the table

Had a lunch catch up with a friend but unfortunately she forgot about it so we had 3 dishes with large portions for ourselves!We ordered the vegetarian pork ribs, black olive and pickled vegetables with tofu, and the lak yam (laksa tom yum) noodle soup and they were amazing! If you like your dish to have full of flavours, you'll enjoy eating here.The pork ribs dish was my favorite. It was quite creative of them too use cut chopsticks as bones.The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was quite relaxing.

Delicious place for a great vegetarian or vegan feed! Highly recommend this venue. We had the olive fried rice, lemon chicken, satay skewers, salt and pepper abalone mushrooms, mapo king pow chicken and it was all so tasty!
