About the Business
Home | Elephant House | Elephant House was originally established in Endeavour Hills in 2004 fulfilling a long-felt need for the Sri Lankan community in Melbourne. Due to increasing demand of fast moving consumer goods and take away foods Elephant House was shifted to the spacious and convenient current location (opposite Syndal Station, Glen Waverley) in 08th March, 2004.

Brought some fish buns on 25th May. Sadly, filling was loaded with so much Salt and couldn't put it into mouth.. the worst of all was, when contacted the shop to share feedback, the staff member was so dismissiveaccepting feedback to be vigilant next time. Mere acknowledgement would have earnt another visit to the store!Not again !

Good range of Sri lankan groceries in Melbourne suburb. I assume that untrained casual workers are employed here. As such, didn't expect quality customer service that I see in well established Australian supermarkets.

Went to the shop on Easter Monday to buy some items. The girl at the counter was rude and frowning at customers. I felt like she did not want to be there. She has an attitude problem. She could not care less. There was a notice not to be rude to the staff. But this girl was rude to the customers. This is my second bad experience with this person. Will never go to this shop to be treated like a headache. Will spread the word around our Sri Lankan friends to boycott this shop.

What you get for $18 is terrible.This is my experience though on a Sunday for a takeaway chicken rice. I have seen better days a few years ago when the food was amazing

Bought some Srilankan kavum, kokis and candy few weeks ago. Totally useless and threw to bin. Could only taste salt in kavum and chemicals used in coconut toffees.

Wanted to buy a packet of roasted curry powder. Shelf indicated that price was $6.30 but when scanned price was $6.75. Staff called up the owner but owner refuse to honour the lower shelf price and indicated shelf price was not updated. The price difference is not material but most shops would honour the shelf price. Not a good customer retention policy is my opinion. Plenty of other Sri Lankan shops around!

Everything is perfect and super. Friendly stuff, foods they got super delicious, groceries are very nice. went there several times didn't find any problem

It had an experience like going to a Sri Lankan grocery store, it had almost all Sri Lankan brands from PnS, Green Cabin and The Fab products. There was a very large variety of bottled products as well.
