What a beautiful experience! We got a last minute reservation last night at Kadota Restaurant - the atmosphere made us feel very much at home and on their menu they explained the history and meaning behind some of their ornaments. It was nice to see so much attention to detail.The food itself was also very delicious - the first couple dishes weren’t super outstanding but still tasted good. We really enjoyed the Akita-Komachi rice, it had some really unique toppings. And the Wagyu was superb! It was a shame we were a little full at that point.Overall a great experience. Thank you for making our night :)

I don’t usually write review but I really like to share my wonderful dining experience in Kadota.The decor and atmosphere was welcoming and calming.Food was modern/fusion Japanese. The most outstanding dish for me were the fresh scallop sashimi, the perfectly cooked ocean trout and the dessert, the tasty and interesting konbu icecream.The whole team was friendly and attentive. Aaron even came to the table to introduce his new dessert to us and also asked for feed back.We fully enjoyed all the delicious food.Thank you Risa and Aaron.

I honestly don't even know where to start this review... From start to finish the experience was amazing, attention to detail was an absolute must. Each dish meticulously crafted and understated on the menu, however delivered with many vibrant and exciting flavours, topped with the fact that each glass of sake paired were served in ways which amplified their flavours and tones. Anything I write here wouldn't be enough to do this restaurant justice, you must check it out for yourself.Aaron & Risa and the rest of the amazing team at Kadota, we cannot thank you enough for the experience.

Hands down the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life. The service was impeccable, and the attention to detail was flawless - from the presentation of the dishes, to the unique authentic handmade Japanese crockery the food was served in, to the mind blowing food served in it . Every dish was a treat - meticulously created, melt in your mouth deliciousness and perfectly balanced flavours that left you wanting to lick the plate. If you’re a foodie, you need to experience this. I’ll definitely be back.

Such a Beautiful taste of Japan in Daylesford! My partner and I had a wonderful evening dining at Kadaota in our recent stay at Daylesford. The Classic menu offered an amazing range of tastes and textures that truly need to be experienced. Each dish was beautifully presented, and each was given a detailed explanation on their ingredients and origins.However, any dining experience is incomplete without a good host. I must commend Risa on her excellent professionalism and bubbly enthusiasm, which was a true highlight to our night.I would highly recommend anyone visiting Daylesford that Kadota is a must go to destination.

Amazing Japanese here in the ❤️of Daylesford. Passionate chef and staff. Decor is amazing and food is next level. You must try this when here. 10 stars! ⭐️ Aaron head chef is beyond a master of his craft. We came back for our 6 year wedding anniversary and we can’t not say how grateful we are for what we experienced, the energy, the passion and the experience.

We came here for my husband’s birthday dinner and we absolutely loved everything about Kadota. The services was fantastic and the food was incredible! We were quite full at the end and everything was perfect. The chef even came out to bring our dessert which is such a nice touch! You can tell they put a lot of heart and soul into their restaurant.

We had dinner at Kadota last night and it was absolutely outstanding! The entire night from start to finish was an incredible experience. The menu is carefully thought out and each dish was beautifully presented. A mixture of local and Japanese ingredients are used. The service was of the highest degree and the staff were very knowledgeable on all dishes. A true surprise as we booked last minute. We will certainly be back!
