I started working with Easy Living Kitchens 2 years ago, I am a professional photographer who has worked photographing top Hotels and locations across Africa, UK, and South America in the past.what I have found with working with Shane and his team, is just an incredible passion not only for superior product use, but also a deep passion for his clients, truly understanding their needs, when it comes to curating a beautiful kitchen. I have photographed many of his clients properties and they are all professional people with busy lives, but always had the time to stop for a second and speak very highly of a very talented Team. I am grateful to have been working with such special people in a very bespoke, artisanal business such as Easy Living Kitchens

Please carefully consider doing business with Easy Living Kitchens and David (Shane) Beetson. I signed a contract with Shane for a kitchen renovation in February 2020 and experienced nothing but anxiety, stress and disappointment. I have evidence to support what is written below.Works commenced on my kitchen at the end of March 2020, but as they progressed, I noticed the kitchen cabinetry was heavily scratched (difficult to photograph), that the cabinet maker had cracked one cabinet and drilled a hole through the front of another, covering it with a sticker. I noticed that the sealing Shane had completed, some of it right above and below the aforementioned cabinet damage, was not sealed properly and was inconsistent and messy. I have included photos so that a potential client can see the kitchen that Shane was going to leave me with, versus the end result after I escalated my concerns.I put Shane on notice of my concerns in writing early May 2020 and was told that the works were done to standard, but that he would come out and take a look. A couple of weeks went by and I heard nothing, so I followed up with Shane in writing again. I got an email back with details about how difficult things had been for him due to a personal issue and that he just happened to be back at work the same day as my email. He did not apologise for my obvious concern and stress. I read his response and felt as though I had no right to complain because of his circumstances, even though I had just spent $20k for an unfinished kitchen. I eventually firmly requested that Shane attend my property in early June 2020 and organised a tradesman that I knew personally to attend at the same time as my support person. It was not until this point that Shane acknowledged there were issues that needed resolving, though he never apologised or acknowledged any personal wrongdoing. Shane never attended my property again after this meeting and I eventually had to engage QBCC for assistance, as he would not commit to a time frame to fix the issues of concern and stopped responding to my emails for a period of time.Thank God for QBCC and their inspector, because if I didn’t involve them, I would probably still have a shoddy kitchen to this day. Shane had told QBCC that my works were completed when my dispute was accepted and also told them I had arranged all of my own contractors myself (I arranged two and had evidence of Shane's arrangement of the other contractors). Shane failed to attend the eventual QBCC inspection and was issued with a direction to complete re-sealing and cabinetry works (this will be publicly available information). After this was issued in October 2020, the splashback was re-sealed another time by a contractor of Shane's choice, before I intervened and suggested it be done by a professional caulker, who completed the sealing perfectly (after three attempts by Shane and co). The cabinets were fixed by a new contractor, but I had to endure three cabinetry installs to get it done properly (as a result of poor install/manufacturing issues). QBCC signed off on all works in November 2020, and Shane has never personally seen the finished product.I wasn't going to write a Google review about my experience, as I wanted to put the stress behind me. However, Shane has been dishonest and has never demonstrated any remorse or accountability. The fact he could not face me after our meeting speaks volumes and I have no faith that he wouldn't do the same again to someone else.Please do your research and ask others about who they had good and bad experiences with. If a business, such as Shane’s, only has a few positive Google reviews, or glowing review/s from their colleagues (how is that OK?), ask for evidence of completed work and try to find out how happy those clients were with the job directly. I didn’t do this due to my own naivety and I suffered for it.I would never, ever recommend Shane or Easy Living Kitchens to my family or friends after my eight-month ordeal. I suggest looking elsewhere for a quality kitchen and reliable, honest tradesman.

We obtained two quotes from other companies prior to obtaining one from Easy Living Kitchens. The other companies did not provide close to the level of detail and care when planning our kitchen and designing our space.We were looking for a company that could handle the overall renovation of our kitchen space, not just new cabinetry. Our kitchen designer handled all the necessary trades and the communication throughout the process was fantastic. Any questions I had through the process were answered quickly and the finished product was perfect.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.The experience with Easy Living Kitchens was so good that we decided to get Easy Living Kitchens back to do our laundry and built in wardrobe a number of months later. Cannot speak highly enough of the experience and the team at Easy Living Kitchens. We have done a number of renovations to our home and the service from Easy Living Kitchens is second to none. Thoroughly recommended for any kitchen and/or joinery projects you have.

After procrastinating for ten years because it was too hard, Easy Living Kitchens made our kitchen renovation so easy. From the first phone call, to the final touches, the team were amazing. Every detail was taken care of. Every time frame was met or completed early. The finished kitchen is practical and beautiful. They proved that stress-free renovation is possible and affordable!

Couldn’t be happier with our brand new kitchen. When we bought the house in Jan the kitchen was an 80s original and needed to go. Shane was amazing during the design he listened to my ideas and what was important to me. Lots of draws, high end bench tops and lots of bench space. When I asked for ideas/options or if something would look good he gave me what I needed to make the decision. Shane plus everyone that worked with him on this job we’re on time and importantly every invoice came in as quoted. As you can see from the after photo it’s an amazing space to be in now.

Buying an 80’s house with an 80’s kitchen was fine for a while, but once everything else around it had been updated, we needed to find a creative, enthusiastic and professional company to lead us in the right direction. After a couple of other quotes we found Easy Living Kitchens who did just that! Shane was very experienced, knowledgeable, creative, and incredibly patient as we made our new kitchen come to life.We were very impressed with their process, communication and subcontractors, who were all approachable, friendly and trustworthy. All were a true credit to the company. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Shane and his team to our friends and family for their next new kitchen or renovation!

Our experience with Easy Living Kitchens can only be described as exemplary. The service your team provide is first class. Having never renovated before we were a bit anxious about what to expect. From our initial phone call and right through the whole design process, your patience, explanations and experience put us at ease. You weren't the cheapest of quotes, but we trusted you more than others because of your efficiency, friendliness and patience whenever we asked for changes. Your communication and co-ordination of the installation team was spot on and everything happened on time as per your schedule. All the tradies were respectful, friendly and did a faultless job. We now have a beautiful new kitchen which has so more functional storage than we had before and adds so much value to our home.Thanks again and we will definitely be recommending you to our friends and family in the future.

We engaged Easy Living Kitchens to build and install our kitchen rebuild primarily due to the complete professionalism of Shane, EBK's Project Manager on our first contact with him. We were very happy with Shane's easy to talk to communication skills, overall price and product's contained in the kitchen design. Additionally, we would be dealing with the one person for the entire quote, build and install process. Shane worked with us personally (and patiently) to design a kitchen rebuild that suited our requirements and living style. The process included a number of draft plans before we settled on the perfect fit for our kitchen. We were continuously kept informed of progress on build time and installation date. Shane project managed the rebuild which included some demolition of the old kitchen and some internal walls and the rebuild of new walls to accomodate the kitchen re-design. All associated trades including, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and tilers were organised and managed by Shane. The end result is a kitchen that is ascetically beautiful, very functional and easy to clean and maintain. We cannot recommend Shane and Easy Living Kitchens more highly.
