Shaahi Tandoori
A lovely restaurant with Indian and Pakistani food. This was Red and my third or four visit and we had a couple of friends joining us.Everything was really fresh and the staff were very nice and friendly. They don’t have a lot of servers so expect to wait for short amounts of time but no too long.Back to the food it was was great. We ordered the samosa chaat, butter chicken, goat korma, chicken tikka masala and lamb palak gosht. Along with this we had three naans, plain, garlic and cheese, and garlic and rice. It all came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. The metal dishes the curry mains are served in never look like much but there is plenty to satisfy the hungry. Each dish came with a generous amount of meat, this isn’t a place that gives you all sauce and a few dollops of meat.We finished the meal with rasmalai, a type of doughnut in milk, and gulab jamun, warm doughnuts in syrup. The rasmalai is nice but the gulab jamun is so delicious. We will be back again, maybe to try their all you can eat buffet on a Sunday.

On arrival, Service person didn't know what a Fork reservation was, after persistence on my part he went to kitchen to ask.Restaurant was empty at 7pm in a Saturday evening.Handed chilled water and menu's once seated, service person returned after few minutes and took order.Within 10 mins first entree was served, onion bhaji battered onion pieces on large serving platter, never seen it like this before, was quite tasty and not oily, followed by mains and second entree vegetarian pakorea with bbq sauce, unusual pairing but was satisfactory, nice chunks of vegetables inside a crisp pastry.Main 1 was Lamb Shank Nihar, delicious lamb, the meat falling off bone covered in a delicate curry (bit watery) with a full green chill and rice as a side dish very happy with portion size.Main 2 was Chefs Special Chicken Tikka Biriiani, huge portion size mainly flavoured rice than chicken whilst packed full of flavour, unexpectedly was very spicy. Was enjoyable if you like a full on spicy meal mainly of just rice.Garlic naan was fresh and paired well with both meals nothing different from any other naan in any other Indian restaurant. The food is really the only reason to return to this restaurant, but it may be hit and miss in regards to flavour and freshness also poor customer service, very plain fittings and furnishings.Won't be returning.

It was a nice dining experience with family.. Inviting warm interior decor & very clean environment. The waitress was attentive, prompt & friendly. Food was served fresh & quick. Each dish had distinctive aroma. Servings were in generous portions & reasonably priced. Would love to visit again & also try the buffet sometimes soon.

Don’t waste your money. The samosas were less than average and the mint sauce was totally flavourless and very runny. The naan is doughy and the garlic is raw - not cooked properly. They messed up the order, gave us a dal instead of a palak paneer, it was very watery and totally flavourless. The butter chicken is average at best. Honestly the worst Indian I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten on trains in India. Plenty of better places in the Inner West.

Shaahi Tandoori is great value authentic Indian/Pakistani food in Enmore. The portions are quite small but it’s a good chance to try extra dishes. The butter chicken and goat biryani were standouts but every dish we tried was nice.

After reading reviews, I had good hope the food will be nice. Unfortunately, we did not like it at all. Food was brought out very quickly, so i’m sure it’s not freshly made probably just microwaved or something. The tandoori was very very dry. The tikka and garlic naan was lacking in flavour. The butter chicken was so watery. Food wise i’d give it a 2/5 but i have given 3 stars as the lovely Asian waitress was very nice and hospitable.

Very disappointed. Was offering free delivery promotion with doordash. Clearly couldn't meet demand. Our estimated delivery time kept getting delayed. Then an hour after we ordered our order was cancelled. Terrible service. If you couldn't meet the order for a start don't accept it!

We had dinner around 10 pm from this restaurant . The food taste was totally worst. We 4 friends had dinner from here. All of us having food poisoning since we ate there. I would like to draw attention of food safety authority that they’re having food hazard. And their customer service was quite bad as well.

Shaahi Tandoorilocated on 200 Enmore Road Enmkre NSW——————————————————————Overall 9/10Taste 10/10Variety 10/10Presentation 10/10Ambiance 10/10----------------------------------------------------------------heard alot about this restaurant so finally decided to visit itfirst if all this restaurant is conveniently located in the city so it's easily accessible for everyone and when there not so many options availablethe ambience is really perfect gives the feel of true Pakistan.staff is very welcoming and courteous they know how to treat the guest in the best way. they have got a nice smile on their face which gives the feeling that you will be treated best.owner is really friendly and decent. he will come to you and personally gets feedback for the food.we ordered biryani curries and bbq. although the menu is rich but we wanted to eat our best favourite ones.good is succulent bbq is nicely marinated and juicy which tells it has been marinated and cooked with love.biryani is all time favourite and only few places does the best biryani.overall very good experience would love to visit again on my next trip to Sydney.highly recommended if you are in around city and wants to eat best food.

Have been eating at Shaahi since they opened perhaps four or five years ago. Back then the food and service were excellent. As mentioned by another review there seem to have been several changes in both cooking and service staff. The flavour is still good and prices cheap. The percentage of meat to sauce is noticeably lower, and the dahl was more a bean lentil mix.We ordered two plain naan. One was dry and leathery, the other thin but fresh. There are plenty of other options for Indian and Pakistani food along Enmore road. We will be eating elsewhere in future.
