Quite a small but quiet station with quite satisfactory parking and infrequent trains, however at least it's small and in a quiet train line.

A sleepy village like surviving, despite rail work

The cleanest toilets in the Melbourne metropolitan railway system - always a pleasure to use the facilities. Some times I get off the train here for this very reason..

Near the end of the line. Not much parking. No toilets. Single set of tracks so very infrequent service. Feels like a country station not a metropolitan one. But no toilets is the deal breaker.

Montmorency railway station is on the Hurstbridge line and, with lots of stops along the way, takes about 40 minutes to get to from the CBD. The station is unstaffed but does have a Protective Services Officers (PSO) booth and video monitoring (see photos). It also has a Myki ticket purchasing machine and a Telstra pay phone. Sadly, it has only a small sheltered waiting area, very limited parking (less than 100 cars), limited bicycle facilities, and to top it off, no toilets. Believe me given the distance and time to get here from the CBD having no toilets is a real deal breaker!!! It only has a single set of tracks and one platform which means that trains are rather infrequent at this station.

Used to be a nice quiet local inconspicuos train station, now it's a bloody monstrosity.

Gorgeous little town centre in suburban area. Cute cafes and shops along a steep street, train station at the bottom. Parking is time limited in some areas, but there's plenty around the back of the shops too. There's a chemist, post, fish and chips, bakery, etc

Basic station, limited parking. But clean, with new undercover areas, and very convenient access to Montmorency shops and cafes.
