Just passed by this area as I was walking noticing several car parking spaces and the monument. Nice view and place to take some short rest. Lies along the highway.

Its basically a small water feature, which can dry up in the summer. There is limited parking which sometimes is used by the apartment block adjacent there. The road is quite busy

Good landmark for giving directions cos of that giant K13. Finally read the story the other day about what it's all about and is kinda dumb - some submarine sunk during a test dive in WW1 cos they left a bunch of vents and hatches open and some people died

Just a small park in the middle of the road, free parking that's walkable distance to the train station. Never seen rangers here so try your luck!

Surprising find in Carlingford! Ties in well with World War 2 naval history. I also note the name Thetis - a British submarine that sank during diving trials in Liverpool England. A must-visit for anyone interested in World War 2 naval history.

Didn't expecting an submarine memorial in the middle of Carlingford, far from shore. But it is somehow connected to the area. Read the memorial message about it. I found it somehow funny in regards to it's Irish connections and well known Irish love to boose.It's nice place to stop and rest while walking thru the suburbs, discovering places like this which normally You would be passing in the car didn't even had a chance to spot it from the Pennant Hills Road.
