I was very disappointed with this place. Came in and asked if we could eat fish ordered downstairs told yes. Bought drinks and sat down, it was 30 minutes to close time. When we collected our fish they came and told us to move over to other side into the sun. Very very unclear with the rules’ and that close to closing time, as if it was a problem for us to stay in the seats we had. We won’t be back

We drove from Gold Coast, had platter for lunch, and returned same day. You can't find same quality and tasty sea food anywhere on Gold Coast, as simple as that.

Good space upstairs with restaurant service. Star deducted for value for money (impacted also by the fact we went on a public holiday but base line it’s on the pricier end) and the garlic sauce with the prawns and rice wasn’t that tasty (a bit bland, prawns weren’t really that flavourful). Fish and chips (market special) really made up for it and was absolutely delicious. If we weren’t full at the end of it, we would’ve had another serve, truly fab. Service was great, waitstaff were friendly. The wait time for takeaway downstairs (which you can then take upstairs to eat in a takeaway seating section) was 1 hr which made our decision to dine in at the deck very easy. The area upstairs had a nice view of the water and sunset so you’d want to go on a nice night. Would recommend!!

It's ok but in the end it is just a fish and chip shop. There is no wheelchair access, staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a park across the street where you could just get some food from the sister shop downstairs and let the kids run around, the toilets are also located in the park so it would make that trip quicker.

As a party of 8 we were entertaining friends from the USA. One person was vegan. The restaurant does not have vegan options. We got vegan take out next door but the staff would not allow our friend to eat it with us. Very disappointed considering the large sum spent with our group. Shame really. Even after explaining our situation, we were told that it was against their regulations. It would have been appreciated if they could have shown some flexibility given but we adhered to these requests.Meanwhile, writing this review the same staff member came over and interrupted the meal and our conversation stating she could notice that we were writing this review and continued to explain why. This was even more disappointing as we were respecting and abiding by the rules - not to eat the food brought in. Just plain rude.

Anniversary lunch was superb here. Dont let the casual ambience mislead you. We ordered meals not usually on our palette and were blown away. Swordfish in yellow curry and the Cajun Seafood on Aburi rice was so well presentable and mouth-watering it verged on moreish, we wanted more but we were full. Well done knowledgeable wait staff and talented chefs. We'll be back for the pot o' mussels I missed.

Deck of Horrors!Had diner at The Deck on Parkyn, not a good experience. To start you need to climb stairs to access the reasturant, not wheelchair friendly at all. Second allthe food had a layer of oil over it, essential you could go to anyone for greasy fish. Third no toilet in sight, had to use the local park toilets for the kids, simple amenaties are a must. The only thing going for them is there shell fish as everything else is bland. Do not recommend, buy the fish downstairs and avoid the wallet crunch.

If you love your seafood this is the place to go. Prawns are unreal best I’ve had in while. Casual dining and really nice staff. We had a seafood plater, it had a good combination of everything. The grilled prawn and scallop sticks were awesome.
