I got lucky yesterday!! They were closing for the next 2 days and clearing everything out. Very cheap, so bought up big. That also meant that I got to try more of their stuff. Got a pile of T-Bones and Scotch fillet steaks. I have been a regular at Australian Butchrs Somerville of late but found their meat has been hit and miss. Prices there aren't as low as they used to be early days when they opened. I stopped shopping at Paul's when they sold out but aftet last night's steaks, I'm going back baby!! Their meat the last couple of times we have bought it there has been amazing!! Highly recommended!

Great quality meat, a tip is to subscribe to the newsletter to be advised of the specials. I recently bought a full eye fillet @ $16.95 per kilo and was doubtful of the quality but it was melt in your mouth meat. The lamb backstraps are also great quality.

Was 20 minutes early and refused entry when we could clearly see what appeared to be 3-4 staff members chatting inside. Then once I got in they made me aware that the product I was after had to be moved to a bigger freezer the day before and they couldn't access it telling me to comeback (I drove 40 minutes to be there). I had to convince her to check as she didn't even offer. I left empty handed.Stopped coming here for my business chicken a few months ago as the wastage from offcut parts and skin was significantly more than other local competitors, now I don't think I'll comeback for personal items as the staff didn't appear to want my business.

No I’m sorry the lamb mix was crook. Looked ok, one taste and I realised the meat was off. My wife has a health condition so I’m glad I was the tester. Obviously too many risks taken in the pre-prepared kitchen, don’t touch it. I’ll be back for the frozen dimmers and the biscuits but nothing else.

Prior to my last visit, this rating would have been higher, but my last visit, the quality of meat purchased was disgusting. I had 25 guests coming over for a BBQ on the Saturday and bought 2kg of BBQ chops for $24, $40 of scotch fillet (as well as a further $50+ on other items) late on the Thursday afternoon. The scotch was OK, the chicken ribs and sausages were fine, however the chops after 2 days in the fridge were OFF. Not just a little bit, but sticky to touch and a pale shade of yellow/green when I pulled them apart. So 30 minutes before our guests arrived, I opened the bag to put them on a tray took one look and was appalled by what I saw, thus having to do the mad dash up to Woolworths to buy another $25 of chops.I don’t live far from Paul’s Poultry, had them in a blue cooler bag until I got home and then put them straight into the fridge.I am not a person who likes to complain and I try to always leave positive feedback or contact the business directly. However I have emailed the head office of B & E Foods, re this incident and have been completely ignored. All I wanted was some acknowledgement, that Paul’s Poultry (now known as B & E Foods), had been notified and any issues re their refrigeration or food handing had been addressed, I DID NOT ask for a refund.Sorry guys, I have been a loyal shopper for many years, NEVER again!!!!!

I have been shopping here for a while now, the pork ribs used to be great but the last time not that nice at all. The last time we shopped there we purchased a few different chicken cuts. I cooked up the chicken steaks tonight and first bite in and tasted that they were off, not impressed for a poultry outlet. The lettuce we purchased was all soggy too. We will not be coming back. You guys need to keep a better check on what is sitting on the shelf.

Hi Westfresh, the new shop layout makes it easier to find the Products you need. The Product range has been updated to include new healthier / fresh Products necessary to put together a complete meal. Staff know the Product, are happy to help & answer any questions. Finally prices competitive. Keep up the good work & I look forward to extra Products as these are added to shop.

Veggies and Meat Quality is absolutely good and fresh, But Customer service at billing counter is rude and dishonest. this is very first time I went to Pauls Poultry and butcher recommended by friends. I was shopping happily with my 2-year old toddler and I bought veggies, fruits and meat everything was going good until I reach to the billing counter. The lady on counter gave me very unfriendly look and ask me the banana my son was eating from the shop I said yes, then she ask me in grumpy way bring me one banana from the shelf so she can weigh he banana and charge me, I said you can take out one from my shopping bag and charge but she made me to go back and charge me 31 cents extra because my son was eating the banana. No worries you got to pay for everything you buy.Second thing which was completely unexpected and not to be tolerated that lady weigh both celery and beef eye fillet together on weigh scale and charge me the total weight with beef unit price instead of charging both celery and beef eye fillet separately. When I ask her why she is charging me celery at beef eye fillet price, she said just said it’s just a celery and refuse to reverse the charges.Basically my 4-dollar celery bunch was charged with beef eye fillet unit price huh.I am not going back in to this place where they just try to rip off their customer and not even willing to accept the mistake. My advice to regular customer would be watch out everything they charge for; I think they have habit charging low unit price heavy items with high unit price item so end up paying more

My wifes dog only likes chicken necks which I have been buying there for years. The Chicken Kievs are the best around.I have been searching for an alternative to Woolworths and Coles which stocks what I need and want not what they need me to buy (they are constantly reducing Aussie products).I am also intent on buying Aussie owned. I also would buy extra Procal milk because it’s Aussie owned and put some in the freezer just to support local dairy rather than Canadian or New Zealand interest.Sadly, I can no longer get chicken necks and the Kiev’s are smaller and it’s not worth a six kilometre journey anymore.I now buy our chicken necks at the Hartnett Drive, Seaford market where I can also get local product at a reasonable price.Once again the bean counters have dictated what I must buy.
