Steer clear of Tic:Toc, they put up a good front but are just as greedy as the rest of the banks. We needed to transition from our fixed rate investor loan (2.1%), to a variable owner occupier loan (4.56%) as we have now moved into the property and our fixed rate term has ended. While we requested the change ahead of time and had the new loan approved before the fixed term ended, they let the loan roll over from to the variable INVESTOR rate (5.84%) for a month, even though we are no longer investors. They said it's because their system takes time to process the change, and so our mortgage has rolled over to the higher rate. The difference in interest rates means we have to find an extra $490 this month. In a time of rampant inflation and crippling interest rate rises, that is just too much money to ignore. Tic:Tok have not offered to resolve this for us at all and claim their hands are tied because that's how the system" works. They've been very apologetic

I’ve got mine approved the next day after I sent my signed contract. Calls to general customer service team also gets attended to very fast, and the team is very helpful.

Don’t be fooled by the friendly sales pitch. When we first got our loan customer service was wonderful and accommodating but since then the wheels have fallen off. We bought our property with an investment loan with the plan to move into the house the next year. Investment loan was due to roll over to variable investment rate at the end of the loan period. From 2.14% to 5.84%. Rang tic toc to refinance to owner occupier, had to wait a week to meet with lending consulting (from Adelaide bank). Even after waiting we still managed to get our loan approved before the roll over date, however they apparently can’t update the interest rate amount until the next repayment date on the 21/02/23. Even though our loan was approved on the 20/01/23 we are currently paying 5.84% (variable investor rate) even though we are living in the property. Tic toc refuse to change the rate to the owner occupier rate of 4.56% for which we were approved last month, apparently it’s a system issue and they can’t do anything about it.

We have been having fantastic experience with Tic:Toc.No waiting on the line, quick responses, no long automation rules (when you click a lot of numbers to get to service / person you need), also the best mortgage interest rate we could find.Our assessor was Magdalena, and she has been incredibly fast, professional and positive.

TicToc is lightning fast in providing approvals, even after a human assess the loan application after the automatic entries and uploads. I have worked with Big4 banks and they are snail slow and error prone in many instances compared to TicToc. Sarah Nguyen is a thorough professional in dealing as Credit Assessor. She is quick to respond and communicate.

I originally was quite pleased with Tic Toc and how everything went, but soon after joining, my interest rate has consistently gone higher than the rate they offer new customers, and now I am always nervous that they are going to try to up the rate and force me to have to look elsewhere for a reasonable rate.I feel it is quite sneaky to offer a certain rate, then use RBA rate increases to disproportionately penalize customers that are already established while keeping the rate low for new customers.In response to the response from Tic Toc: As I pointed out, my concern is the huge discrepancy between the rates you are offering new customers versus established ones. Recently, you increased my rate to 4.86 while REDUCING new customer rates to 4.56. A 0.3% spread is nonsense, and certainly not fair or transparent - every new customer should be aware that they will be penalized for remaining loyal customers rather than be attracted to a very temporary initial low rate.
