If I could I would give 0 Stars. If you move in good luck. The building is very filthy and dirty. They dont care at all and just want your money. They will never allow you your full bond back even they have 0 evidence. Only way to speak to them is through VCAT or Consumer Affairs. Just lodged my application to get my money back. Not sure how people like them can work in a business where they have to deal with clients. Stay away from Home at Flinders. I warned you :) Cheers

Move out a month ago, but now have free time to share my opinion about this place. First of all, there are tons of these insects in the studio when I moved in and then the building manager (Sheryl W) try to 'rip' most of your bond if possible. Don't choose this place, unless you are out of choice! Be careful when moved in, take all the pictures of the desk, mattress, table phone, toilet, sink, Tv, remote, heaters, carpet, etc. And then when move out do the same exactly, or else she will try to take more money from you. They don't check out the room when you were there, if you can ask please try to make them to, or else they will take advantage of you. Everything in the building is old, and the water from the sink has the cockroaches smell.

Do not lease here. Reception are useless, take days to reply and not even responding half of the time. Any maintenance we let them know about was never completed. They were also really dodgy when it came to returning part of our bond back. Rooms are dingy and get almost no natural light, building is dirty in general and cockroaches were everywhere. Not worth the cheap rent. Only positive thing is the location.

Incompetent and bullying receptionists. Illegally force meetings without tenant's consent, ignore emails and always shift the blame on tenants. Refuse to acknowledge our one month payment in advance and don't refund money.

Only good thing is the location. Very rude reception, water leaks, dirty, bugs everywhere and you WON'T GET YOUR FULL BOND BACK. It's really not worth the money. You can hear the neighbours talking, even walking out in the hallway. If you end up with noisy, night owls as neighbours you won't be getting any sleep. Just spend a little extra and get a proper place, instead of living in a tiny box with zero sunlight (with bugs). Not recommended.

Just be aware that they are still trying to charge $350/week for a studio even though I was paying $220/week.Literally just read the reviews I have gone through the exact same thing. After vacating, they don't allow my cleaners to enter the parking lot so they don't want to take the job. Clearly this policy is by design so they can charge whatever they want for providing their cleaners which started at $250 but now it's $560 just because they now have monopoly over move out cleaning in the building. After being a good tenant for 2 years this is the result of it.So I want file a class action complaint against the company as well as the current property mana Suki Su for unethical behavior as well as a list of violations that we found. If any one wishes to do the same please get in touch with me. As of now we are 4 people who are so fed up with this place that it's not even about getting full bond money back anymore.I cannot stress this enough, there are much cheaper and better places than this.

I have tenanted this address for more than 8 years. Ideal location for myself due to my occupation. I have no cause to complain about the management staff. They are always accommodating to my requests when I seek their assistance. Given that home@flinders is not a 5-star hotel, they are deserving of my 5-star rating. They give me what I give to them.

The management is very bad.The apartment was not cleaned properly at the start of the lease, there was also cockroaches.And at the end of the lease, I was charged 890 aud for the final cleaning, the cracked tiles and other fees, the tiles crack was soo fine that it is hard to see and I was not able to see it at the when I first moved in.So I was charged for it, even if I did not crack it.Do not rent this apartment. It is not worth it. So be careful if u move there I am not recommending.

Hello, I am writing this review because I was shocked by all the bad reviews.I lived here for 4 months and I dont think it was bad at all.Everything worked fine and when I arrived the place was clean.The reception was nice and they respond always in time.Yes, there were cockroaches, but in the city they are everywhere. I bought some traps and didnt see them again.Today I asked for my bond back and they gave me almost everything back, except for the steam cleaning but they communicated that very clearly.For the price I Think Empire on Flinders is a good place.
