Exceptional service and wonderful atmosphere. Bren did an amazing cut for me and gave me styling tips along the way. Every step in the process is well thought through and i will definitely return and highly recommend.

So happy with my new haircut! I had long hair and had been wanting to donate for quite a while - each time I decided to do it 'next time'. Kiera made me feel excited about the restyle, let me make the first cut (!), gave great styling tips and recommended products that I can't wait to try. I have been to this salon 3 times, and I must say I am overall disappointed with the service. There seems to be lack of attention to customer needs. Each time you feel like you have to start all over again explaining your concerns and what you want to achieve. There seems to be lack of communication between the booking staff and the “senior”colourist. Pura uses apprentice/ school leavers as helpers to colour/ blow dry service and charge the full amount at the senior stylist rate. Which would be unacceptable by any standards….I note the response below by PURA, and whilst I don’t believe In engaging in war of words, I would like to clarify however…. Firstly, I specifically booked an appointment with a “senior stylist”, I was asked if I wanted to use the same person last time and I said no. I realised by the way she handled my colouring and blow dry that she was inexperienced. I did not provide any negative feedback or comments as I did not want to discourage the “ emerging stylists”. I did not see as her fault as I understand we all have been there at some point in life.I booked with a senior stylist as i have a busy work life and wanted someone who knew what they were doing, if Pura decided to use a new apprentice they should have told me at the time of booking and I could have made an informed choice. Pura denied me that opportunity, I was put in a seat and when the senior stylist arrived she brought with her someone and simply told me that the new starter will be “helping” me with my colour, I felt a bit hemmed in and couldn’t really say anything. I took time off work to get my hair and wanted to get through it.At the basin I told the colourist if she could wash properly from the back of my head as I get very itchy scalp if colour is not washed out properly, she didn’t manage to get all the colour out from the back.I then got a new and emerging stylist for the blow dry. Which was not the best but I still thanked her for the effort.Sorry Pura, you have not in any way tried to repair trust, instead went on the defence of protecting your profiteering scheme.I paid the same amount ($260) for root touch up, gloss through and blow dry, I have had my hair done many times at a high end Salon and paid the same. So your pricing structure works for you not the customer and I was never explained the breakdown so who knows how you work that out. There is clearly lack of transparency and integrity. As a customer I didn’t feel the service was value for money.Sorry I won’t visit again.

I'm so pleased that I found Letitia, who listens to my concerns and has good advice and ideas. I just love my cut, its perfect for me. I'm always made most welcome and enjoy the head massage and shampoo, very relaxing. Looking foward to my next visit. Thanks everyone.

I normally find going to the hairdresser purgatory because of the noise, frantic atmosphere, and the pressure to make my hair a higher priority. My experience at Pura Hair was so different. It felt relaxed and I felt welcome just as I was. I really appreciate Blair helping me choose a style that would work for my 60 second/ day hair styling time allocation & aversion to having hair on my face, and her showing me some techniques to style my hair more easily when I'm going out. Normally I get an itchy head from the products at hairdressers, but today my scalp feels amazing. This is a wonderful salon that I would highly recommend!

Heidi has been my hairdresser for many years and i couldn't rate her more highly. She is amazing at what she does and I'm a very happy client! Love catching up with her and always leave feeling fabulous! Pura is a beautiful salon as well and i had a wonderful experience and felt very pampered.

I’ve been 3 times and always leave very happy. I’ve always been a bit nervous about colouring my hair, but Meg and the team made me feel comfortable and welcome from my first visit. Meg took the time to check what I was after and always checks to see how the colour has gone since my last visit.

Highly recommend the girls at Pura. I've been attending here for 12 months for regular blow dries, cuts and colours. I have curly solid hair that can be difficult to cut. I've been happy with each stylist work and love how the hairdressers share collective knowledge across the team to tailor styles and colours to my preference. The price is extremely good value and the carparking options are incredible.On top of the hairdressing services - organic tea selections are amazing, there's a pre service head massage and sea salt hand exfoliant. The team will always find a way to fit you in for emergencies (post lockdown greys?).I'm really glad I found this hairdresser and highly recommend to others!
