Its nice place with friendly staff. Price may be expensive. I got my hair wash and hair cut with out any blow dryer and style for 58 dollars. They do try to sell SP products saying good for hair,it's completely your wish to buy it.

Great service, excellent hair cuts, super friendly staff. Serge and his team are seasoned experts. They listen carefully to your requirements and execute meticulously. All this with welcoming smiles and a friendly chat. You will feel at home in this establishment. Give it a go!

Sadly I didn't get the results I was hoping for at Zarafa's Hair. I had existing balayage which was quite grown out and I wanted to bring the colour up bit higher. It was suggested to have foils which I said I wasn't that keen on, but was convinced they would be fine and blend well. I specifically stated that I didn't want it to be stripy or obvious when it grew out. I also indicated that when I wear my out I pin the front back so didn't want that part line to show the foils. My hair was rough dried before I went home and middle part of my hair had no foils so it looked OK. However, when I got home and looked at it more closely I could see how stripy it was and was very upset. I messaged the salon the next day and was told to wait a week for the colour to settle and if I wasn't happy they would tone the roots where I took my hair up.After tears and wearing my hair in a bun for a week so no one could see it, I called the salon back. I told them that I didn't feel comfortable coming back to see them to try to fix my hair. I was told that the only thing they could do would be to tone the roots, I was not offered even a part monetary refund despite the fact I was so unhappy with the result. In the end this was a very expensive $250 colour mistake, but I was happier to go and pay another Salon to fix it then to go back to Zarafa's for free. A real shame as the staff are friendly and nice, but I wouldn't be confident to ever go back.

After more than 4 years of not going to a Hairdresser because of the disappointments and bad results in the past, I went around to every single hair salon in Mount Waverley to discuss possible booking and pricing and did not like the responses I received regarding my problem hair, some of them were put of by the condition of my hair and did not really want my custom and others were trying to up-sell me on extremely expensive bonding treatments in order to be able to deal with the poor condition of my hair.So Zarafa's was the last stop for me before I gave up and as soon as a I walked in I met Serge and he assessed my hair honestly and gave solid critical advice and tips even though I was not yet a customer and had not booked and he did not expect my business. Therefore I was impressed and booked on the spot and had my hair done that day. I am now a regular customer and will be going back. Thanks for your honesty, professionalism and understanding of hair types and how to treat for best results.

Serge, Claudia & Madlen are funky, modern stylists that know how to work with you and your hair so that your hair frames & accentuates your best features! It was my first time at the Salon this evening & even though, due to my last minute booking, they were accomodating & I not only felt welcome but I felt spoilt! Charges $32 to trim only the tips for an 8yo girl, but $26 for a full styled detailed cut for a 9yo boy.
