Aquatic Achievers North Lakes Swim School

Went in for a trial and was instantly disappointed when I saw how busy this place was and how many kids in a single class.It was incredibly loud in the pool area too.Most classes had 5-6 kids in a 30min lesson, so you do the math, your children don't get a lot of 1-1 time.Also very costly for such little time with the instructor too. But in saying that, most instructors were very young and one in particular appeared to have zero patience for a crying toddler.Lastly, change tables are horrible. Just steel benches with nothing to rest your child on. Lucky we brought a spare towel.Don't think we'll be back after what we saw today.

We have been sending our kids to Aquatic Achievers at North Lakes since they were 4 months old. Swimming by far is the most important skill that an Aussie kid could ever have and it is important to find a facility to train your kids that have patience and care. The staff at Aquatic Achievers have always been awesome! It hasn't mattered when the kids have had to change days because they have gone up a level. Overall I have always found the staff to be incredibly friendly and personable. Ms Jay's yells of delight when someone goes up a level is always infectious!

I am writing this review post cancelling my 18mo splasher class. Nothing wrong with the instructor or anything like that but more about the ambient. The fact is this swimming pool is an indoor one and dozen of swimming classes are being held at the same time which causes a huge amount noise echo inside. Specially challenging for toddlers who have some sort of social anxiety.Beside, I found the tiles being used for swimming pool, not suitable as they are slippery as hell! My wife and I had difficult times balancing ourselves for walking on these tiles while being in the water trying to follow instructor's instructions.

Staff pleasant, facilities nice but too many children in one lesson. Very loud environment also with multiple classes of all ages going at once. Your child's 30 min lesson time is wasted by mostly them sitting there waiting for their turn again and when there's behaviour problems from other children in the same class, or when other children are upset, more time of your child just sitting there doing nothing. The instructor does their best to deal with the child needing to be reprimanded or comforted but they appear overwhelmed at times. They are stretched for adequate supervision too as when theyre focusing on one child the others are going under the water being silly. Really didn't feel it was worth the money. Over priced for about 10 to 15 mins of lesson out of 30 min. Dissapointing. The classes should have 2 children and that's it for proper lessons. Not alot of car paring spaces either.

We've had lovely instructors everytime. Friendly and approachable staff. You get updates on progress. The pool is heated and there are parents seating area around the pool. Lessons run for 30mins. Typically there has been 2-3 children in each lesson we've had including our child. We've found it to be a great confidence booster for our child.

I've been taking my daughter here since she was three months old. She is now eight. The staff who have been there long term amd transitioned with the change of management a couple years ago all say hello and have been supportive I am very happy and will continue to take her until transitions form juniors to squad.

Had our swimming orientation yesterday for my 14mth old. Our instructor was lovely, facilities were clean, pool didn't reek of chemicals thank goodness! Prices are affordable. My daughter is terrified of any pool of water bigger than her baby bath, and our instructor was very patient while listening to my little one cry and scream for 30 minutes. Subsequently, we've booked in for a month of lessons at 2 per week :D would recommend it so far!

My eldest has been swimming here for 8 years and love it my 18 month old goes here too and they're really great and accommodating

After spending lots of money on lessons my son wasn’t given the skills to confidentially swim in other pools and refuses to swim without goggles. Not the best for safety….

Went for a trial lesson with my 6 month old baby and the overall experience was not good. Specifically, the swim instructor was a trainee and seemed very new. Didn't give me much confidence at all. Also, they don't have baby change tables, rather steel benches lined up. Not good for changing babies. The changing area was quite dangerous as it was in an area where people can shower so floor was wet.When we finished lesson, the front counter staff starting discussing prices etc and lesson times, presuming we would be signing up. I provided my feedback on the experience to the staff and advised we would not be signing up. There are much better swim schools in North Lakes.
