The meat here is of fairly good quality, however I won't be returning after I received abysmal service today. The butcher hardly looked at me while he was serving me, gruntes at me when I asked for mince, tilting his head towards a fridge next to the display cabinets and hardly said 5 words to me during the whole transaction.

Tried this butcher again after getting beef ribs that turned green in the fridge 24 hours after buying. This time I got chicken thighs that stank the fridge out with ammonia 14 hours after buying.I’d prefer to rate them zero stars but I can’t.I’d also like to see the results of any Vic Food Safety bacteria swabbing checks.

Amazing service and really high standard of meat varieties and cuts. Can't do enough for you. Booked my daughter's birthday spit through them (available for hire) and got great guidance on what to put on it and why. Just a great place to call my local butcher. Couldn't recommend them enough. So kind. And we don't eat a lot of meat in our house so writing this review as their service was a step up from what one would expect.

The butcher was so rude, it was like I was an inconvenience being a customer there, I even asked if they were open as I felt like I wasnt welcome in the shop, it’s the second time I’ve been in there and both times have been the same. Not great variety either, pitty as it’s near where I live but I won’t be returning.

I walked in as they were preparing the kranskies - smelt so good. Great choice of meats, and a wide range of Scottish fare, such as Black Pudding and Tattie scones.

The absolute best! Everything is so authentic and delicious, the bacon, the hamburgers, the jerky! You will not find better. Cannot recommend Peter and his staff more highly.I can only assume previous reviews about having negative service were with the old owners because these guys are always so accommodating.
