The Argus Dining Room
We usually dine during lunchtime in Argus and the food is really good. Fresh local produce evrrytime. Great value lunch meals along with great atmosphere. Absolutely love the experience. Great for a romantic day out.

We had the included breakfast to our stay at peppers here and boy was it good! Was super impressed at the standard for an included breakfast. Will definitely be back to book dinner here

The Argus Dining Room
I was extremely disappointed when I arrived. I was confronted by 3 very inexperienced kids managing the restaurant floor with the oldest telling if I was aware that I was late for my booking. At that point I should have left but stayed on to experience a very weak menu option. The food was of decent quality but lacked the items it needed to cater for all tastes.I guess I just expected more from this establishment.

My partner and I had dinner here tonight and the food was amazing!! Rather than the set menu we were able to order individual dishes. I had theLinguini Cacio e Pepe with Prawn Tartare and it was mouth watering with so much flavour!! My partner had the beef cheeks with mash and red wine jus. Also really good!! Good portion and heaps of flavour. Service was also excellent.

The service was lovely, but the food was very hit-and-miss.Starters were great, obviously prepared fresh and delivered promptly.When we were offered a break between starters and mains which we accepted, once the mains arrived they were overcooked and cold.The place is really beautiful, tastefully decorated and cosy to eat and drink in.For the price, this place is not delivering on food quality and taste.The Surly Goat just the road is killing them on every level. Go there instead.

The octopus entree, linguine with raw prawns, braised beef cheek, and sorbet are all fantastic. The staff were more than friendly as well!

Had breakfast here today. We were sat down on our table and given a plate of Crossaints, butter, jam, Fruit salad and Yoghurt pots to share which was delicious. Then we got to pick a dish of the menu. Service was fantastic, staff very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and the coffee was one of the best!

Attended for breakfast while staying at the peppers. Dining room was cozy and had a great ambience.Breakfast was included in our stay, but I think it has a set price of circa $30 for visitors.The breakfast started with a share plate of granola & yoghurt, fresh fruits, and flakey fresh croissants. You can also order a barista made coffee along with fresh juices.Following the platter, you then order a hot breakfast from the set menu, which offered 5 different choices to cater for most tastes.We tried the smoked salmon rosti and the country breakfast.Both were very delicious, plated beautifully, and well above the standard of hotel breakfasts.I noticed just one chef in the kitchen, very impressed with her work as the tables filled up during the morning.Excellent way to start the day during our stay!

Absolutely phenomenal. The food was divine. We had a chicken and chorizo risotto, with a side of glazed pumpkins with currants and walnuts, followed by custard tarts for desert. We also had excellent wine in a gorgeous sitting room afterwards. I highly recommend the Cabernet Merlot they have by the glass from SAThe ambiance was perfect, with some light jazz playing at just the right volume. And the gardens were a pleasant retreat even in winter.Overall an excellent conference room with easy access to the gardens. I thought the coffee could have been a bit nicer, but it was easy to drink and served hot all the way to lunch.Highly recommend this venue for a conference or lunch. Had an excellent time.
