Received a lovely welcome from Peter in reception. Parked outside of room.Was nice and quiet as our room was at the back of other rooms which we liked. Heater and air con.Chess board with seats was used well by the family.2 Queen beds very warm and comfortable with couch, dining table, 55inch Freeview tv - couldn’t get into Netflix or Stan - we didn’t need it anywayFridge with free snacks and soft drinksMicrowave free wifiKettle and tea/coffee/sugar provided but didn’t find tea towels to dry dishesBathroom - towels and bathroom products provided. There wasn’t a railing for towels to hang or sink in the bathroom. Needed to use the sink in the bedroom/dining area.To improve - maybe provide hand sanitisers in the bathroom to use with a bench seat to put our clothes and towels on while showering. Good shower pressure.The mall across the road with supermarkets and fast food restaurants was convenient. Not far from Bendigo tourist attractions and away from the busy Bendigo CBD is what we wanted.

Nice little place. The rooms are basic, but adequate. The fridge is stocked with nibbles and non-alcoholic beverages and the bed is very comfortable.Although the motel is next to the main road there wasn't a lot of traffic noise to keep us awake at night.

In reply to the owner….I do not use rude, offensive or vulgar language ever. My note was intended to draw attention to something that could affect your rating. I notice others have commented on the dish washing issue. I wrote a note to you so that you could reply to me and I am surprised you have taken such offence.I am sorry to hear that you are so overworked. Perhaps getting a little extra help would be beneficial.The purpose of these reviews is to help other travellers so they can make an informed choice.

Our Unit did not have a hand basin in the toilet room. You have to go through the bed room to the kitchen are and wash your hands in the kitchen sink.How UNHYGENIC . Classified as Covid safe? Makes one wonder if even the bed was safe.Noise from trucks roaring past just 30 metres away was horrendous.The owner puts some soft drinks in the fridge - as a compensation?

Great location! The motel is along the highway and just across the shopping centre. We booked the family room and fits comfortably 4 adults. The room also 2 queen size beds, sofa, dining table, mini fridge, microwave and kettle.Peter was also helpful and accommodating.

When I booked on the 1st March I was proudly told on the phone they where the new owners and the rooms where renovated. I realised on the 12th the day we where to stay I had no confirmation of any sort, so I called to make sure I had a booking and was told they where about to message me. We arrived that night to an unrenovated, unhealthy room. Broken handles on the wardrobe and bathroom door, No sink and fan in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, uneven floor, broken floor tiles, crooked toilet and more. Check the photo's there is more, they speak for them selves. The shower even had the last people's soap still in the holder. I smelt the 1980's top bed covering and it had a musty smell, it had not been washed for a while. The picture of the blinds when I woke. The worst thing was when I check under the bed on leaving to see if I had any of my belongings under there was rubbish under it as shown on the picture. If my mate said come and stay in my bungalow out the back and it looked like this it would be acceptable, you can't charge for a room this bad. Never again for $139 per night and that was a discount from $180 as she matched Bookings.com

The Queen bed was good and supportive, while my single bed was dirty disgusting and too soft, which caused me to keep rolling out of the bed. The attention to detail needs to be addressed. No spoons for the bowls and no tea towels to wipe our dishes. The fridge in the room had an annoying loud droning noise that kept me awake half the night. I know the owners are new, but there are just a few things that need to be addressed to make the stay a little more comfortable.

ＢＥＷＡＲＥ ＴＨＥ ＄５０ ＤＩＳＨＥＳ ＦＥＥPart 2I already decided I would never be back after a guest pulled up outside my window and closed their door LOUDLY at 2am and 4am (I would NEVER do that). Should have asked for some money back!The concrete slab is on a tilt, so the bathroom door doesn't shut. The curtains are so worn there are holes in them, no day privacy curtains so you have to keep them shut. Hope my $50 goes to replacing them. The room has that old building musty smell. There are worn patches on the carpet and cracks in the tiles. From the power points you can see it is very old wiring. The smoke alarm is that ancient yellowed plastic look and I wondered if it was working. The bathroom is TINY you can barely move around to dry yourself. The walls are 1950s fibro so very cold, the least they could do is provide a bedhead. The bed is half covered in pillows, very claustrophobic and not attractive. If there were two of us and we wanted to sit on the couch and they all ended up on the floor would that be another $50 fee? Instead I considerately put them neatly on the couch. There was a suspicious stain on the bedspread that definitely wasn't mine. Is this place ever deep cleaned like every other motel I stay in, daily? As another reviewer said, how is this covidsafe. Everything I say here is backed by other reviewers.After cooking my noodles I did wipe the food from other guests off in case it was considered mess". I should send them the bill.Next time for that price

Friendly staff at check in. Bonus bar fridge included in price. Found crockery grubby, not enough cutlery eg dessert spoons, classes were dirty. No tea towel. Single bed was horrible. Def a kids bed….but should be ok for adult too. No toilet paper. No where to hang wet towel after shower. No tea in room just green tea and no coffee as they want you to buy their barista made coffee. Pool area overgrown with grass. Really disappointed with this but you get what you pay for.
